Weihai

Having a coastline of nearly 1,000 kilometers and clear ocean waters all along the coast with the sea birds gathering on Hailu Island, Weihai is a beautiful coastal garden city. With a number of lovely beaches such as Weihai International Bathing Beach, Rushan Silver Beach, and Wendeng Xiaoguan Golden Beach, you are sure to find a fine place to avail yourself of the seaside tourism resources. Picking up shells and crabs, watching the sunrise and sunset, and amusing yourself with seaside recreational activities are but a few of the activities you can partake in. It cannot be forgotten that during the first Sino-Japanese War Weihai was the city that made the "unsinkable battleship" of Chinese history. The Dingyuan Warship and the Sino-Japanese War Museum commemorate this smoke-filled history.
