I miss you so much in Chongqing with my nanny-level strategies
I'm going to tell the truth, Chongqing is really a popular internet celebrity city, but there are still more or less some tourist traps. Based on real experiences, I'll help you avoid them💣
(Just go for it, there's nothing inconvenient)
💗 Itinerary 1️⃣ Recommendation
🗺️ Jiefangbei: Landmark check-in
🗺️ Bai Xiang Ju: Old-style residential building
🗺️ Raffles City: Cyberpunk style
🗺️ Daijiaxiang Trail: Hongya Cave photo spot + cliffside trail
🗺️ Hongya Cave: Representative of night view
💗 Itinerary 2️⃣ Recommendation
🗺️ Mountain City Trail: Characteristic trail, a miniature of Chongqing
🗺️ Shibati: Old street like in the movies
🗺️ Huguang Guild Hall: Ancient guild hall complex
🗺️ Liangjiang Ferry: Characteristic ferry
🗺️ Danzishi Old Street: Old street + night view
🗺️ Nanbin Road: Ceiling of night views
💗 Itinerary 3️⃣ Recommendation
🗺️ Graffiti Street: Art graffiti + Traffic Tea House + Xiao Bei Statue
🗺️ Chongqing Zoo: Many giant pandas
🗺️ Eling Second Factory: Cultural and creative district
🗺️ Liziba: Light rail passing through a building, you can also visit the nearby Xiaohuang Building
🗺️ Guanyinqiao: Distinctive business district (locals' favorite)
‼️ Things to note
☁️ Check the weather one or two days in advance, it was almost twenty degrees a few days ago and it was not cold at all in the sun, but it has cooled down recently
🌼 There are many places to enjoy flowers in Chongqing in spring: Chongqing Zoo, Banshan Cliff Line, Nanshan Botanical Garden, Garden Expo
🏨 Stay near Jiefangbei, very convenient!
🆓💡 There are many places to see night views in Chongqing for free, recommended Hongya Cave, Nanbin Road, Hong'en Temple, Mountain City Trail
🕳️ There is no fast track in Hongya Cave, no need to go inside
🗺️ If you want to visit the Three Gorges Museum, etc., it's closed on Mondays
🌉 The Yangtze River Cableway is by appointment on the same day, buy your ticket early. You can go to the South Station, which is less crowded than the North Station
🚢❗️❗️ The Two Rivers Cruise is not highly recommended, the ticket price is one or two hundred but the route is not much different from the Liangjiang Ferry, which only costs 15 yuan. The biggest difference is: Liangjiang Ferry does not have night shifts
🌃 If you want to have fun at night, Jiu Street has a rich nightlife
🍚🍜 Chongqing's food is generally spicy, those who prefer lighter meals should pay attention to their stomach health, the hot pot is very spicy
🍚🍜 Let's talk about food recommendations❗️
1️⃣ Jiefangbei He Ji Xing. Tiao Pi Dou Gan: Chongqing barbecue specialty, full of ingredients in one bite, both numbing and spicy
2️⃣ Jiefangbei Gui Su Meat: There are many people in line, crispy and crunchy, fried with pepper salt powder, really delicious
3️⃣ Chongqing Noodles: You should try the most authentic noodle soup when in Chongqing, it's really satisfying
4️⃣ Ba Dao Tang Hot Pot: The second-largest hot pot in Chongqing, many celebrities check-in, the spicy flavor is really addictive~

This street is not very crowded, so if you're looking to photograph a lively, bustling scene, you might have to wait a while. Despite this, the food street remains lively well into the night, with vendors constantly crying out to drum up business. Whenever you come here, you can be sure that something exciting will be happening.

Jiefangbei Pedestrian Area in Chongqing is the best place for shopaholics. All the huge shopping malls cover the area which has People’s Liberation Monument in the middle. Our hotel was only ten minutes away from the place and it costed only about 10RMB to get there. The place is very big and wonderful, you will definitely enjoy paying a visit to it. It’s one of the must visit places in Chongqing.

Chongqing the mountain city seems to not only be dynamic in landscape. The old sits alongside the new, the poor dilapidated buildings alongside the new mega luxury shopping malls, the elderly hand in hand with the new generation. Only in such a place do you get robots alongside an elderly lady using a basket on her back to carry her grandchild. It is unique to say the least!

Jiefangbei is haven to strange delicacies and street food markets. People queue in long lines to buy beautifully fried oyster mushrooms and wander aimlessly from stall to stall. One dish I tried consisted of fried rice cakes with jellies and various toppings such as chrysanthemum, hawthorn, and raisin all glazed in a light brown sugar sauce. Eat chestnuts to keep warm and water chestnuts to keep cool. Eat the whole night away!

There’s nothing more Chongqing than hotpot! Cook an assortment of foods in boiling spiced soup, and enjoy an array of dipping sauces. Chongqing can get spicy, so try dowsing your spoils in vinegar or drinking herbal tea to cool down. Spicy food is a great contrast to the local watery beers 🍺 so cheers 🍻 and enjoy the night

Shopping, street food, fancy restaurant, or atmospheric loitering. Jiefangbei is definitely one of the most famous downtowns in Chongqing, if not the most iconic, given that there are multiple all over the city. Crowds of Chinese tourists gather to take pictures by the monument, and local luxury shoppers and foodies gather after work for a nighttime stroll.

Chongqing at the end of May is like a hot version of Qingdao. With and without the sun are simply two different worlds~
Staying near Jiefangbei, the itinerary for the first day is actually within walking distance, but the weather is so hot that we took taxis all the way.
The charm of Chongqing starts to burst forth from the evening. The high-rise buildings along the two rivers, with their dazzling lights, construct a magical and splendid skyline.
The observation deck on the 42nd floor of Raffles City, with its suspended glass walkway, is a view for the brave.
I suggest to all travelers~in Chongqing, please have a good sleep in~Keep your energy, and dive into the excitement of the night~
For a leisurely trip, I recommend a walk on Nanbin Road in the evening~Make sure to hold the hand of the one you love~Because the river breeze is gentle, and everything is very tender

Visited Chongqing's three major attractions (Jiefangbei, Chaotianmen Square, Liziba Light Rail) in 2 hours
Came to Chongqing on a business trip, busy with meetings during the day and socializing at night, I didn't have time to see the beautiful scenery. I decided to visit the famous spots in the few hours I had after the conference ended before leaving.
Originally, the plan was to take a ride-hailing service around and then head to the airport, but it took about 10 minutes to get to Hongya Cave from the hotel, and I found it inconvenient to transfer and park. So, I ended up walking around Hongya Cave with my colleague, carrying our suitcases. It was indeed very characteristic, cool inside, bustling with people, and lots of food, drinks, and fun. Haha, I spent 50 yuan on a scratch card and won 150 yuan, luckily getting my money back.
Then, while preparing to call a car at the entrance, I suddenly saw a taxi coming. I waved and explained what I needed. I must say the taxi drivers are really warm and hospitable, professional and skilled. He agreed to take us around, found a place to park and wait for us, and took us to Jiefangbei and Chaotianmen Square for a look, staying for about 15 minutes at each place. I was particularly moved by Jiefangbei, which stands quietly in the bustling city center, as if telling the stories of history and memories.
The impressive part of Chaotianmen Square is the confluence of the Jialing River and the Yangtze River, with endless green waves and tourists, showing the different vitality of the city on both sides of the Jialing River.
After the visit, the master took us to the airport without stopping. With his skilled driving, familiarity with the road conditions and locations, he introduced us to the beautiful scenery along the way and even stopped for 5 minutes on the road for us to watch the light rail passing through a building. Although the passing vehicles gave us puzzled looks and comments, the driver proudly let us witness the train entering and leaving the station before we left.
We arrived at the airport just in time, the whole process took a little over 2 hours, and the fare was just over 100 yuan. Although it was rushed, it felt worthwhile.
The beautiful mountain city, the foggy Chongqing.

Chongqing | Will you visit this city again?
Of course, I want to go countless times!
I went there last November, and recently my friends and I are itching to set off again😂 The mountain city truly lives up to its name, so those who love to wear high heels should consider carefully!
⭐️ Food:
Right off the plane, dragging our luggage, we went to eat at a community hotpot restaurant, and it certainly did not disappoint! Since it was lunchtime on a weekday, many people in work clothes were there to enjoy the hotpot! You could tell that colleagues from nearby workplaces also wanted to have this treat during lunch😂 The price was very affordable! Later, we also went to some popular stores, but I felt none were as delicious as this one. In the evening, we went to a small bar where you could see the river view, very pleasant~ Besides hotpot and skewers, Lai Feng fish and Bi Shan rabbit are also must-tries, don't miss out if you love fish!
⭐️ Hotel:
We stayed at the Marriott, where you can go to the rooftop to take pictures, super photogenic! It's the old Marriott, and it's convenient to go to the attractions by car. On the last day, we stayed near Guanyin Bridge, which is in the new district, different from Jiefangbei. Jiefangbei has many cultural and historical sites, while Guanyin Bridge has many trendy and popular stores, suitable for young people.
⭐️ Attractions:
The Yangtze River Cableway is definitely worth a ride, offering an overview of the entire river view.
Mountain City Trail is also a must-visit attraction, super photogenic for photos!
Eling Second Factory is filled with cultural and creative shops, very healing to look at. The ladies at Hongya Cave had a photo shoot, and for 300 yuan, it was really worth it! So beautiful!
I also visited an off-the-beaten-path spot! It was the most unforgettable part of my trip! I'll write about it separately when I have time!

Jiefangbei! One of the most iconic landmarks in Chongqing!
Jiefangbei, one of Chongqing's most iconic landmarks❗️
It is also a must-visit for Chongqing tourism❗️
🌬️
In this picturesque city of all seasons
There stands the Jiefangbei that has witnessed the vicissitudes of time
Now it has become a landmark of the city
Attracting countless tourists to visit.
🔍
Jiefangbei is located on Jiefangbei Square
Built in 1945
It is a monument commemorating the liberation of Chongqing after Japan's surrender, when Chongqing served as the wartime capital of the Chinese Nationalist government
The majestic and flowing characters for 'liberation'
Seem to narrate the victory of China's war of resistance
🏞️
Standing in front of Jiefangbei and looking out over the banks of the Yangtze River
People seem to travel back to the long river of history
Feeling the magnificent and tumultuous years
Surrounded by attractions such as Luohan Temple, Yangtze River Cableway, and Hongya Cave
Jiefangbei has also become a highlight of Chongqing's night view
❤️
If prosperity and boldness represent Chongqing
Then Jiefangbei is the embodiment of historical memory and cultural heritage
Coming here, you will feel a deep and profound emotion
This is the spiritual home of the people of Chongqing
🌟
Not only that, the night view of Jiefangbei is equally beautiful
When the lights are on and the night falls, the high-rise buildings around Jiefangbei
The huge color screen lights present a very beautiful scene
One side Jiefangbei, one side 'climbing road'
This line is really the night of Chongqing, visual experience MAX
🍧
Of course, coming to Jiefangbei
You must not miss the variety of snacks
Nearby Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street has all kinds of delicacies
Noodles, hotpot, skewers, xiaolongbao, chicken pot, and so on
Letting you fully engage in foodie mode
Among them, the most famous is Chongqing noodles
Definitely one of the must-eats when you come to Chongqing
And the price is reasonable too
🎊
It is recommended to take a walk along the Jialing River next to Jiefangbei
Enjoy the beautiful scenery, feel the refreshing river breeze
Especially suitable for an autumn afternoon

I've fallen in love with Chongqing all over again after returning from there!!!
I've missed it during the days I've been away!
I miss the air tinged with the scent of greenery!
I miss the nights spent watching the night view while feeling the breeze from the river!
I miss the winding mountain roads that don't require a GPS!
I miss the city where you can easily walk 20,000 steps!
Staying in Chongqing for four days and three nights made me fall in love with this city over and over again.
The first day started with the Yangtze River Cableway to Xia Hao Li, then to Mountain City Alley, Eighteen Ladders, Liberation Monument, and finally waiting for the lights to turn on at Hongya Cave~ I must say, the night view was moving.
One should not only read thousands of books but also travel thousands of miles. Zhou Zhou's Reading Club encourages those limited to traveling thousands of miles to observe the vast world. Everyone is welcome to join Zhou Zhou's Reading Club!!!

I played in Chongqing for three days! My advice is
I've come to realize one thing: Chongqing is really not a place to rush into blindly. It's not that I'm discouraging you from coming, but rather advising you not to come without a plan. If you're too lazy to make one, then take a look at this guide I've put together overnight, just for your reference. -Three-day itinerary:
Day1: Jiefangbei - Mountain City Twenty-two Sichuan Restaurant - Eighteen Ladder - White Elephant Residence - Huguang Guild Hall - Hongya Cave
Day2: Chongqing Zoo - Liziba - Three Gorges Museum - Beicang Cultural and Creative Park - Guanyin Bridge - Hong'en Temple
Day3: Ciqikou - Mafangwan Colorful Alley - Yangtze River Cableway - Longmenhao Old Street - Nanshan with barbecue - Nanbin Road

Food Recommendations
Zhang Ji Xinglong Chongqing Cuisine: Located on the delicious street of Jiefangbei, Zhang Ji Xinglong Chongqing Cuisine is an ancient-style Sichuan restaurant. Its signature dishes include spicy chicken and sauerkraut fish, which are absolutely delicious and authentic.
When you arrive at Zhang Ji Xinglong, the first thing that hits you is the spicy and tempting spicy chicken. The chicken is fresh and juicy, fried to a golden crisp, and served with large dried chilies and crispy peanuts. It's spicy but not dry, with an aroma that fills the air.
The sauerkraut fish is an irresistible signature dish. The fish is fresh and tender, the sauerkraut is refreshing, and it's served with a spicy red broth. The sour, spicy, and fresh flavors are intertwined, appetizing and memorable. Especially on a cold winter day, a hot bowl of sauerkraut fish warms the body and soul, bringing a sense of warmth and the taste of home.

Chongqing One-Day Tour
Chongqing: Punch-In Style Travel (Two Days)
Hard seat for ten hours, arrived at 5.2 noon, then went straight to sightseeing without rest (because the hotel I stayed at was not very convenient for transportation, a bit far from the downtown area).
5.2 afternoon Liberation Monument → Guanyin Bridge → Eighteen Stairs → Hongya Cave (so crowded, couldn't really see anything)
5.3 Zoo → Liziba → Ciqikou
p5 First time trying Chayanyuese tea, hehe it's tasty and I love it
p6p7 Only briefly walked a bit of the Eighteen Stairs, didn't explore the whole area, regrettable p8 The zoo was the right choice, definitely worth a visit, full of emotional value
Personal experience and lessons: Accommodation must be chosen close to the subway entrance (it's convenient to take the subway in Chongqing, with extensive coverage); as for food, everyone has their own taste, I don't dare to comment randomly, I personally find it okay, mainly trying out new things; the weather is not cold, but it depends on the individual, some people are cold-sensitive (short sleeves + light jacket), it's also fine to wear skirts and short sleeves directly.
Conclusion: The short time spent sightseeing is really not because I don't want to, but because of limited holiday time! In my view, Chongqing has a sense of technology + cyberpunk style (truly a personal feeling), with a strong sense of gradient layers, giving me a unique experience, definitely worth spending more time to experience and see. I love Chongqing, Chongqing, we will meet again.

The Jiefangbei really knows how to capture a girl's heart
Thank you to the Balabala brand for the invitation⛳️
I saw a wonderful fashion show at the Jiefangbei in Chongqing.
I have always liked the simple and comfortable dressing style.
A dopamine pink collar T-shirt paired with a pleated skirt
Whether it's for daily life gatherings or casual entertainment travel
It easily grasps the relaxed vibe of summer🍃
elysium_2134
Chongqing is indeed far ahead! They actually held a grand show at the Liberation Monument
Balabala is so amazing! They managed to put on a grand show right in the center of the Liberation Monument! I was fortunate to attend this grand event, and the scene was really lively~
The show was set up in the center of the Liberation Monument, and the models were all wearing the latest styles from Balabala, with a variety of styles, and I liked every single one!
Supermodel You Tianyi made a surprise appearance, she is really so beautiful😭 Her strong presence and stylish catwalk instantly lit up the atmosphere of the evening's event!
I also wore a Balabala's small collar T-shirt at the Liberation Monument that day and took lots of photos. The light pale pink color made me look very lively~ The key is that the cut is very slimming, and the fabric is also cool and breathable!
Summer is so suitable for wearing colorful small collar T-shirts, whether it's a business or casual look, it can be easily managed, and I'm really growing fonder of this brand.
LANDON ORTEGA
Mountain city markets, unique in their own way
The Liberation Monument in Chongqing and the Bayi Square, like two dazzling pearls, are inlaid upon the land of Sichuan and Chongqing.
During the day, the towering Liberation Monument stands tall, witnessing the prosperity and vitality of this city. Strolling through Bayi Square, one feels the sediment of history and the breath of the era. The sunlight sprinkles on the square, making everything seem so peaceful and beautiful.
When night falls, the lights of the Liberation Monument and Bayi Square are lit up, with neon flickering, decorating the city's night sky like a dream. The brilliant lights and the bustling crowd reflect each other, forming a beautiful night scene that is too good to be true.
The authentic Sichuan and Chongqing cuisine is even more unforgettable. The spicy hot pot, the fresh skewers, the spicy and fragrant Sichuan dishes, each bite is intoxicating. Accompanied by delicious food, one feels the unique charm of Sichuan and Chongqing, a feast for both the taste buds and the eyes.

What could be more romantic in Chongqing than the return of the rose waterfall?
Yes! The rose waterfall at the Liberation Monument is back for a limited time✨
Chongqing is really so romantic💕 Check it out during the May Day holiday and look fabulous
The Chongbai Building really knows how to capture a girl's heart🧚🏻♀️
The entire wall of roses pouring down at the entrance
It's stunningly beautiful😍 A casual snap feels like a masterpiece
There's also a rose photo spot in the basement rest area
How could you miss it if you like romance📷
From the 10th-floor terrace, not only can you overlook the entire Liberation Monument
But there's also afternoon tea and pastries🍵 Invite friends to chat and have tea
💕 Spending a romantic and comfortable afternoon is the real deal
It's suggested to dress in pure white or black for the best photos💐

Soaring clouds and dreamy river hues - An experience at the Jiefangbei Hongya Cave branch of Yunjian High-altitude River-view Hotel
In the heart of the mountain city of Chongqing, there lies a haven that blends modern comfort with natural wonders - Yunjian High-altitude River-view Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongya Cave branch). As a traveler seeking an extraordinary lodging experience, I was fortunate to spend several nights here, and below is my detailed description and feelings about this hotel.
【Location & Transportation】
Situated in the bustling Jiefangbei business district and adjacent to the famous Hongya Cave scenic spot, Yunjian High-altitude River-view Hotel boasts an excellent geographical location, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the charm of Chongqing city. A short walk from the hotel leads to several shopping and culinary centers, while the surrounding public transportation system is well-developed, making it extremely convenient to take a taxi or use a shared bike.
【Check-in & Reception】
Upon entering the hotel lobby, I was attracted by its warm and exquisite design. The enthusiastic reception and efficient check-in process by the front desk staff made me feel at home. The card-style room keys are lightweight and easy to carry, with a high-tech feel.
【Room Facilities】
My assigned room had a huge floor-to-ceiling window that offered a panoramic view of Chongqing's city skyline and the winding river. The room's interior decoration is modern yet cozy, and the high-quality bedding ensured a good night's sleep. The air conditioning system worked well, maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature even on humid and hot Chongqing nights. In addition, the Wi-Fi signal was strong, making it very convenient for both work and entertainment.
【Dining Experience】
The hotel's breakfast was rich and varied, with a buffet that catered to different tastes. The restaurant environment was elegant, and the service staff were friendly, making each dining experience a pleasure.
【Service & Facilities】
The hotel's service was professional and thoughtful. Whether I needed extra towels or tourist information, the staff always responded with a smile and patience. The fitness center, conference rooms, and other facilities were well-equipped, meeting the different needs of business and leisure guests.
【Landscape & Features】
The most unforgettable aspect was the hotel's unique river view. Standing on the balcony of the room, I could see the sparkling waves of the Yangtze River, and at night, the charming night view of the lights on the opposite bank. The quaint charm of Hongya Cave intertwined with the hustle and bustle of the modern city, creating a vivid picture.
【Conclusion】
Yunjian High-altitude River-view Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongya Cave branch) added a lot of color to my Chongqing trip with its excellent location, attentive service, comfortable accommodation environment, and unparalleled city views. Whether for business travel or leisure vacation, this is a highly recommended choice. When leaving, I took with me full memories and expectations, believing that in the near future, I will choose Yunjian again and enjoy the beauty of the high altitude once more.

1. Went straight to explore Longmenhao and Xiahaoli, two old streets, right after landing in the afternoon. These off-the-beaten-path attractions with fewer people and beautiful scenery really won my heart! The weather was clear on the 19th, and the riverside scenery felt like a seaside city
2. Xiahaoli lit up at night gives off a forest in a mountain city vibe, even prettier than Hongyadong! Walked from Xiahaoli to the south bank of the Yangtze River Cableway and was lucky to get a prime spot on the cable car. In 5 minutes, crossed the Yangtze River, admiring the stunning night view of both banks
3. After getting off the cableway, walked to Jiefangbei to enjoy a tea break at Cha Yan Yue Se, then took a taxi to the Jiangtan Grand Theatre (opposite Hongyadong) for a quick photo session, not wasting a minute. Also saw the night view of the other side of Raffles City from the Jiangtan Grand Theatre area, which is just as bustling as Shanghai's Bund haha
4. Stayed in a quiet, spacious, and cost-effective river-view suite hotel! Even better than the one I stayed at in Zhengzhou, the Jianye 1700 for eleven nights!
5. It started raining the next morning, instantly turning into a foggy city. Visited Bai Xiang Ju, Huguang Guild Hall, and the People's Great Hall! Each place was very photogenic! It's a pity that my boyfriend's photography skills were not up to par
6. Took the light rail to Chongqing University of Science and Technology, 40 kilometers away, for some errands. The journey across the river and through buildings was more interesting than deliberately looking for places to visit, with endless scenery along the way.
7. A local friend took us out for Qianjiang chicken giblets in the evening and recommended Ding Jiaojiao Chuan Chuan, both delicious! (Better than what we found on our own haha
Some minor regrets due to the tight schedule, will come again next time:
1. Was working all the way during the trip, occasionally looked up to find the scenery from Hubei to Chongqing was absolutely stunning. Next time, I want to pick a beautiful spring day and drive here with friends!
2. Next time, I want to come with my girlfriends, leisurely stroll through Longmenhao and Xiahaoli again, take photos, drink coffee, and daydream! This time with my boyfriend, plus the rainy weather, many photogenic places were missed
3. Time was too short, returned to the hotel very late every day, wasting the great suite with an unbeatable night view of the river. Ding Jiaojiao Chuan Chuan is located in a residential building, very characteristic of Chongqing, cheap and tasty, but unfortunately had to pack and take away in a hurry to catch the high-speed train.
4. I really recommend asking locals for food recommendations when you come to Chongqing. The small noodles, trotter soup, spicy chicken, and hotpot I found myself were all quite average, not bad tasting. But neither the environment nor the flavor had that authentic Chongqing alley vibe, unlike the Qianjiang chicken giblets and skewers recommended by friends!
5. Was working every day, always preoccupied with work, unable to fully relax and enjoy. Stole some leisure time amidst the busyness, hoping to have the confidence to forge paths through mountains and build bridges over waters, balance work, and continue to love life!
