Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important religious and historical places in Kathmandu - Nepal. The recommended sightseeing time is half an hour or maximum one hour.
I strongly recommend to be respectful and discreet when taking pictures. Be quiet and don’t forget that this is not JUST a tourist attraction but also an active religious place where people still worships and celebrate their beliefs. In fact local people burn the dead bodies as part of their religious ritual here so be aware of that beforehand.
This is the most important temple dedicated to god Shiva and it is worth to visit.

The most impressive thing about Nepal's trip is the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu. It is one of the world's cultural heritages, the largest Hindu temple in Nepal, but it is called the burning temple by tourists.
The Bagmati River on the edge of the temple is similar to the Ganges River in India. The
Bagmati River is a cremation place for Nepalese Hindus. It is a ferry crossing for Nepalese life. It is the most holy river in Nepal. It originates from the Himalayas, southward and the holy river of Hinduism. , Ganges. It is said that the soul of the deceased will flow along the Bagmati River into the Ganges and fly to heaven.

Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple located in the heart of Kathmandu, is used to send people who have died to cremation to send them to the West. The sacred cremation ceremony of the Nepalese people, the sacred scene of life and death, became a very shocking moment.
In the long flame, gently telling the ordinary heart of death in the Buddhist faith, it is amazing that people send their loved ones in such a way.

If life is too bitter, come and see Nepal
Nepal, this mysterious country nestled under the Himalayas, is a sacred place that people yearn for. Here, the ancient and the modern intertwine, nature and culture blend together, and every breath seems to absorb the purity and spirituality from the snowy mountains. Below is the Nepal travelogue I have carefully planned, hoping to lead you into this earthly paradise and experience a different kind of travel.
Attractions Introduction: A visual feast from historical sites to snowy mountains
• Kathmandu Valley: As the cultural heart of Nepal, it is dotted with World Heritage Sites. The ancient palaces of Durbar Square, the sacred atmosphere of the Pashupatinath Temple, and the Buddha eyes overlooking from the Monkey Temple (Swayambhunath Stupa), each place is a testament to history and faith.
• Pokhara: Backed by the Annapurna mountain range and facing Phewa Lake, it is a paradise for trekkers and a haven for those seeking peace of mind. In the early morning, take off from Sarangkot hilltop on a paraglider and take in the magnificent views of the snowy mountains and the lake.
• Nagarkot: Known as the 'Himalayan Viewpoint', here you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the continuous snow-capped mountains, including Mount Everest, and the golden glow of sunrise is unforgettable.
Itinerary: 7 days and 6 nights in-depth tour
Day 1-2: Kathmandu exploration After arrival, first experience local life in the Thamel area, then spend the next two days exploring the three ancient cities of the Kathmandu Valley - Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur, experiencing the beauty of Nepal's history and art.
Day 3-4: Pokhara's nature trip Head to Pokhara, on the third day you can choose a leisurely lakeside walk or boating, and in the evening participate in local folk performances. In addition, don't miss out on visiting the handicraft market to pick out unique souvenirs for friends and family, ending the trip with a full harvest.
Food Exploration: Nepal on the tip of the tongue
Nepalese cuisine is a blend of Indian, Chinese, and Tibetan flavors, recommended to try:
• Dal Bhat: The national dish of Nepal, consisting of lentil soup, rice, vegetable curry, and pickles, nutritionally balanced and delicious.
• Momo: Similar to Chinese dumplings, but seasoned with Nepalese spices, suitable for steaming or frying.
• Sel Roti: A sweet, ring-shaped fried bread, an ideal choice for breakfast or afternoon tea.
Transportation Tips:
• International arrival: Most visitors choose to fly to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
• Domestic transportation: In Nepal, long-distance buses or private car rentals are mainly used for intercity travel. For short distances, such as Kathmandu to Pokhara, domestic flights can be chosen to save time.
• Trekking areas: When trekking, it is recommended to hire local guides and porters, which not only ensures safety but also allows for a deeper understanding of local culture and nature.
Nepal, a place that captivates the soul, each look back is a purification of the heart. Take this guide and start your journey of exploration in Nepal, making every step an eternal memory.

#2023travelwish Pashupatinath Temple is one of the must visit place in Kathmandu, Nepal. For Hindus it is one of the most scared place and it is believed that every Hindu should visit this temple atleast once in their life time. Inside this temple there are many idols of Hindu deities, Lord Shiva - One of the three holy trinity being the main deity of this temple and from where the name Pashupatinath aka Lord of all animals was coined. Although non-Hindus cannot directly enter inside this temple through the main door, they are allowed to enter from the other gates and view the temple from the bank of Bagmati river. The river itself is considered to be holy and it is said that any deceased cremated here will be free from all their sins and endless cycle of life and death. The asthetic of this temple lies in its religious importance for Hindus, the authentic art & craft used in building this temple & shrines and the river Bagmati where public cremation of human body can be witnessed anytime by anyone which set a reminder for the livings to live a blissful life.

Pashupatinath Temple 🇳🇵 Kathmandu
This is a travelling experience and one that it's worth researching if you want to go and see before you arrive.
The temple is a Hindu open cremation site where those very recently decist will be taken washed in the river, wrapped and then cremated.
The temple has a class system depending on an individual's wealth or status and the platforms are of varying levels or decoration and size.
While we were there a number of bodies were carried in and the families, friends and religious leaders took part in the precession and prayers.
This is a cultural experience and the locals were more than happy to encourage us to go and learn more, but be aware it's an open cremation site.

Nepal is the more familiar, the more you want to get close to him, it has nothing to do with his scenery, but more is his unique culture. On the banks of the Bagmati River in eastern Kathmandu, there is a famous temple of Hinduism. It is also a gathering place for asceticism.
On the banks of the river, there is a group of gods, these gods enshrining the forest of the gods of Shiva. These gods are hollow, except for the worship of Linga, as well as the residences of parades and ascetic practices.
The ascetic monk uses cruel methods that we can't understand, to cruelly practice. Once there was an Indian ascetic, holding his right arm in the air for 38 years, until the stereotype was on the right shoulder, and it was impossible to move. Such an ascetic, heart It is true that there is a god, and for such a special existence, it also attracts many tourists to come and see. There are about 300 ascetic monks scattered around the temple. They live in low-rise houses or caves by the river, but a large part of the ascetic monk here is full of commercial flavor. Although all the dresses are still ascetic, the faces are painted with various makeups, and the different makeups represent the different sects they believe in. When someone needs to take a picture, they will be in a position of cultivation. Of course, this is not free, and the charges are often not low. Everyone's fees are different, and some even offer a price of 1000 rupees.
