Stunning St. Charles's Church
#wheretogo
One of the most interesting and beautiful churches in Vienna.
A truly breathtaking church with the architecture of the interior that is mind boggling.
The interior is bright and heavily decorated with golden motifs and brown stones.
It is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture.
Truly a gem in the city and not something to miss.
The view of the church at night with the lighting is so stunning.

Absolutely Stunning Karlskirche
Visiting Rektoratskirche St. Karl Borromäus, commonly known as Karlskirche in Vienna is a must-see!
This absolutely stunning Rococo-style church is dedicated to Saint Charles Borromeo, one of the great counter-reformers of the sixteenth century.
Karlskirche is widely considered the most outstanding late baroque church in Vienna, as well as one of the city's greatest buildings. 🇦🇹 #2023travelwish #mytripvlog #urbanexplorer #passionpassport #celebratewithtrip

Such a beautiful church
St. Charles's Church, or Karlskirche, is a magnificent Baroque masterpiece located in Vienna, Austria. Built between 1716 and 1737, it stands as a testament to the city's rich architectural heritage. Designed by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach and completed by his son, Joseph Emanuel Fischer von Erlach, the church is a harmonious blend of architectural styles, incorporating elements of Greek, Roman, and Baroque traditions.
The church's stunning dome is its defining feature, and its interior boasts impressive frescoes by Johann Michael Rottmayr. St. Charles's Church also houses a collection of precious relics and sculptures, making it a significant religious and cultural site. Visitors can climb the dome's spiral staircase for panoramic views of Vienna. This historic church continues to be a symbol of both faith and artistic achievement in Austria's capital city.

Charlie's Church, located on the south side of Karlsplatz, is a baroque church building with a green oval dome. The sides of the church are engraved with bas-relief columns and are very delicate.
The church is chargeable, 8 euros / person. There is a waiter who sells concert tickets at the entrance of Charlie's Church. The price is relatively high. I think it would be enough to feel it once in the Golden Hall.
The entrance to the church is Karl Square. It is quite deserted in the morning. It is very lively at night when there is a Christmas market.
YIYI NOTES.
This Karl church, one of the most eye-catching Baroque church buildings to the north of the Alps, has a Roman-shaped oval dome of up to 72 meters. In 1713, the Holy Roman Emperor Carl VI announced that if a terrible plague could stop him, he would build a church, and when the plague ended, the emperor's promise would be fulfilled. There is a large fountain at the entrance of the church. There is a park next to the pool. There are many small cafes where people sit and chat, read books and rest.
Come to the interior of the church, the front is the style of the ancient Greek temple, the two side rooms are in the style of Italian Renaissance. The overall decoration is gorgeous and solemn, and the religious murals of the dome are very realistic. In order to let visitors see the exquisite scrolls of the circular vaults, scaffolding is set up here, and visitors can take the elevator directly to the top and enjoy the gorgeous dome murals up close.
