Songde Temple is located in the suburb of Chiang Mai, in the middle of the road to the ancient city to Suthep Mountain. The Tallinn, a golden and white stupa, is quite spectacular because it is far from the ancient city and commercial center, so there are no bustling tourists, only magnificent stupas, exquisite carvings and clusters of white stupas. In fact, these white stupas are the resting places of the Chiang Kai-shek sorghum or the nobles. It is close to Chiang Mai Airport and will continue to see the plane passing through the sky~

#songkran2024 This temple is probably the most beautiful one of Chiang Mai! It’s incredible how much effort they put into the construction of the temple. The outside is just as beautiful as the inside. We were lucky to see monks and other people doing rehearsals for new years celebrations. Loved this temple! This temple not in ours list , just more free times so we walk to it .
Beautiful than what we expected. the main building need ticket ( small charge ), surrounding area free for walk around’ take photo ‘ . Lovely place , peaceful feeling.

A Temple Near the Nimmanhaemin Area
It's a bit of a distance from the Nimmanhaemin area, but it's a temple you can even walk to.
There are many white objects, and it was beautiful.
Also, you can often see airplanes taking off from the airport, so I think it's a hidden gem for those who want to see airplanes.
You have to take off your shoes to enter the temple.
The inside is spacious, glittering, and luxurious. The decorations are impressive, and the Buddha statues are large and impactful. There were also many small Buddha statues around the main Buddha statue.
I recommend visiting it along with Nimmanhaemin.

If you're heading to Suthep Mountain, you'll inevitably pass by Wat Suan Dok, a famous Buddhist temple built in the 14th century in the beautiful gardens of the Lanna Thai dynasty. The temple houses the largest bronze Buddha statue in Thailand, and the other buildings are also very magnificent. The main hall has a three-tiered roof, and behind it are large and small stupas. According to the guide, the stupas contain the ashes of several Thai kings, hence it is also known as the 'Thirteen Tombs' of Thailand.
The huge bell-shaped stupa in the temple is very similar to those from the Sukhothai period and commemorates the famous monk Mahathera Sumana, who is said to have come to Chiang Mai from Sri Lanka to teach and once lived here.
Photographers are very fond of Wat Suan Dok because it is particularly enchanting at sunset.
Tip: Every year on April 13-14, a large religious festival is held here.
For locals, there is no entrance fee, but foreigners need to pay to enter the temple, which is 20 Thai Baht per person, approximately 4 RMB per person.

Wat Suan Dok: A cemetery temple with a garden theme.
It was once overlooked by many people who came to Chiang Mai to play, but those who have been here cannot forget it.
Under the sunlight, it's so bright that it hurts the eyes; as the sun sets in the west, it's as beautiful as a palace in the sky. Coming out of the west gate of the ancient city and walking along the bustling Suthep Road for about a kilometer, you can easily find Wat Suan Dok.
This place is worth spending a whole time on, quiet and solemn, with no connection to all the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
However, the most eye-catching thing is not the magnificent temples and golden pagodas, but a large area of traditional Lanna-style cemeteries, arranged in various sizes but with a certain degree of orderliness. Under the clear blue sky, they are solemn and exquisite, making people almost afraid to approach.
The tower is not very big, but it appears somewhat dazzling in the sunlight, faintly emitting a radiance that moves the hearts of viewers with a heavy and tranquil power.
At first, this was just a beautiful garden belonging to the Wang family. The person who built it was Kue Na, a wise monarch of the Meng Lai dynasty.
😊😊
At that time, it was the early stage of the establishment of the Lanna Kingdom. Buddhism, which was popular in northern Thailand, was actually deeply influenced by Myanmar. Later, in order to reform the religious atmosphere at that time, King Kue Na invited the famous Sri Lankan monk Sumana Thera from Sukhothai to Chiang Mai and donated a part of the royal garden to build Wat Suan Dok for him and the monks.
From then on, the Buddhist center of the entire Lanna Kingdom was moved from the original capital of Haripunchai to Chiang Mai, and the orthodox Theravada Buddhism also spread from Wat Suan Dok to various parts of northern Thailand.
☘🌿
And today, this shining white forest of pagodas is where the past high monks slept, standing under the blue sky, listening to the evening drums and morning bells. All of this makes you forget that it is a cemetery and instead feels like a pure heavenly garden.

Taro’s Note
De Temple was built in the beautiful garden of the 14th century Lannatai Dynasty, and the building is magnificent. The roof of the main hall is three floors. There is a large and small pagoda behind the temple. The tower contains the bones of the king of Thailand. The temple also houses the largest bronze statue of Thailand. The huge bell-shaped pagoda in the
