Visiting Jiaxing, one must take a look at Yuehe Ancient Town. Yuehe is a tributary of the Grand Canal from Beijing to Hangzhou, named for its bending river that embraces the city like a crescent moon. Yuehe has been surrounded by the northern part of Jiaxing city, and since the Ming and Qing dynasties, it has already formed a bustling market area. The architectural complex here is all antique, exuding the charm of the Jiangnan region.

This time I made an appointment with a local friend to take a tour and have a meal. I originally thought it was just an ordinary ancient town, but I didn't expect it to be quite large. There is an area that seems to be uninhabited, but I feel it has the original atmosphere of the ancient town (but my local friend told me it's a bar street, quiet during the day and lively at night). 🚗 The picture is a corner of the ancient town, a place I really like, with the charm of 'small bridges over flowing water and households'. Here is not busy, nor deserted, just the right quietness can let the leisurely thoughts walk, look, stop, everything is so easy-going, free-minded.
