Wallaceburg Inn

I guess I should’ve gave four stars because the continental breakfast was not that great but we were planning to go out for breakfast anyway. The rooms were very very clean as well as the bedding was crispy white and clean. Bed was comfortable for me but my husband said it was too soft. It looks like all the lamps are new so you can charge your phone and have an outlet in the lamp on the side of your bed.
Saxony Motel

We stayed at the Saxony in Chatham for two nights while in town for a funeral. It is a no frills motel but it is clean, reasonably prices and a convenient location. The owner & staff are very pleasant and accomodating. It is minutes from downtown and there are several reastaurants nearby and a Tim Horton's across the street. We have stayed here four or five time before but this was the first time back since they renovated the rooms. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

We were staying one night visiting family. The options in Chatham for decent mid range accommodation are limited. We had originally booked at the Kent Motel as the average review score was over 3 and the price was $57 including tax. We drove in and the clientele sitting outside there rooms was scarey. We drove out and went across the street to the Super 8. It was about $50 more but was worth the peace of mind. The Pros: the unit was clean. The air conditioning worked and it had a decent mimi fridge. The bed and pillows were fairly comfortable. Cable TV with a decent amount of channels and WiFi which worked fine for me. Best of all it had a decent continental + breakfast (you could even make a waffle.). The Cons: As you can see from the pictures the decor needs a revamp. The The TV Cabinet had a big hole in it. The wallpaper on the walls had these hand written arrows all over it. We were excited that it had a pool and were told it was open to 10 PM. Unfortunately the liner in the whole pool was green with slime / algae. I am experienced with pools and was going to vacuum it as there was a a pool vacuum, unfortunately there was no filter operating, and no water circulating in the skimmer. It just seemed to scarey to risk a swim. Overall we wanted a clean low to mid priced motel. It was the best of all the options on this part of town. The decent breakfast made up for my disappointment with the pool and decor. If they corrected this I would rate it a 4.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chatham South

I needed an early(very early) check in as I was visiting a relative in Chatham Kent Health Alliance. I was in my very clean spacious room by 9.30 am. Staff were so accommodating and kind. I stayed just 2 nights and on my check out receipt I saw I’d been given the “hospital” rate. Will stay again for sure!
