I recently had the pleasure of staying at Munakata Resort Hotel during my visit to Munakata, Fukuoka, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience. This charming hotel surpassed my expectations in every aspect, offering a serene atmosphere, impeccable service, and a memorable stay. First and foremost, the location of Munakata Resort Hotel is simply idyllic. Situated at 651-2 Konominato, it provides a peaceful retreat surrounded by the natural beauty of Munakata. The hotel is nestled amidst lush greenery and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. It felt like a hidden oasis, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the attentive and friendly staff, who made me feel instantly at ease. Their genuine hospitality and personalized service left a lasting impression. From the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone went out of their way to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. The accommodation at Munakata Resort Hotel was exceptional. My room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and meticulously maintained. The comfortable bed and luxurious amenities provided a true sense of relaxation and indulgence. The hotel's location is super convenient, right at Hakata Station. You can directly access JR and Shinkansen lines from B1. Popular spots like Musashi Wagyu Rice are right across the street from the 1st-floor exit, and the famous sheep cheese toast is just a 6-minute walk away. The hotel's cleanliness is also excellent, and the rooms are quite spacious for Japan. It's definitely a top choice for family trips!

Reception at 4 pm was slow and it was necessary for several guests to wait for the two reception people even though they had three other people greeting guests. The nearby Shinkansen station provides easy access to the hotel which is an easy 5-10 minutes walk. Wifi worked well and the air conditioning was good especially in the cold weather. Rooms are a good size and in good condition with above average views. House keeping was also good, though guests need to request daily services by placing a card on the room door otherwise daily service is not provided. The four lifts provided an efficient service. I didn’t have breakfast on this occasion but have had it in the past and it’s of a good quality and high standard. The staff are lovely and caring. The location is good being near the main Shinkansen station. Beyond the station there are shopping centres and street malls with a variety of restaurants and shops to meet most people’s needs. There are also many nearby restaurants that should suit most people’s cuisine, budget and type of food. Buses and subway stations are nearby and provide access to various parts of the city. There are several attractions within 30-60 minutes of the hotel such as temples and museums. Overall a pleasant stay and happy to visit again.

Staff were very pleasant and courteous, always eager to help. Amenities well maintained and clean. Car parking facility in hotel basement was convenient and inexpensive, at JPY2000 per day. Room was clean, smell free and well appointed. Air temperature of air conditioning was precise and reliable, giving a good night’s sleep.

This was my first time staying here. I think all the necessary amenities for a stay are provided. The highlight seems to be that planes fly directly overhead. They are quite close. However, there are no flights after 10 PM, so it's not a problem. On the other hand, it faces a busy main road with a lot of traffic, and there is noise, especially from speeding vehicles and police sirens. The building looks old, so the soundproofing may be insufficient. The nearest convenience store is a bit of a distance away, as you have to cross the main road. However, there is a Don Quijote nearby, so you can do some light shopping. The spa has a small bathtub. The sauna might be full with just three people in it. Swimsuits are required, but you can rent them for 500 yen. There are changing rooms, but no toilets or water dispensers. There is a limousine parked at the main entrance, and it seems that it can be used for pick-up and drop-off, but I didn't confirm this. It's supposed to be a resort, but it feels like only this area has a resort feel. There are some shared cooking facilities, so it might be suitable for groups.

Every time I visit Fukuoka, I stay here. It's super convenient, just across the street from Hakata Station. The rooms are quite spacious, the bedding is excellent, and the service is top-notch. From check-in to housekeeping, and even calling a taxi when checking out, they're always accommodating. I've given them good reviews many times, so I won't elaborate too much, but I do have two suggestions for improvement: 1. The breakfast is truly too simple. The main issue is that in all the times I've stayed here, the breakfast has been almost identical with no changes whatsoever. It got to the point where I didn't even want to eat it on my last day. 2. I wish the rooms had body lotion. Why do they provide makeup remover, face wash, and skincare products, but no body lotion or hand cream? I don't understand. Ultimately, if the breakfast could be varied and offer more options, I would gladly continue staying here.

Everything was great, I was very satisfied. The breakfast was rich and delicious. The stunning ocean view and sound of the waves were incredibly relaxing. My only minor complaint is that the projector in the room emitted a very bright blue light after turning off the main lights at night, which made it hard to sleep. It would be absolutely perfect if this could be improved. 😉

5 star review Grand Hyatt Fukuoka was a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The hotel is directly connected to Canal City Hakata, which makes it extremely convenient for shopping, dining and walking around Fukuoka. The location is excellent, especially for tourists who want everything nearby without needing to travel too far. The room was clean, spacious and well maintained, with a very comfortable bed and a relaxing atmosphere after a long day out. Service from the hotel staff was professional, polite and attentive throughout the stay. Check in and check out were smooth, and the overall hospitality felt premium. Overall, Grand Hyatt Fukuoka gave us a very pleasant 5 star hotel experience. Great location, comfortable room and excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fukuoka.

It's a resort-style hotel. It feels very comfortable. The room is large enough, the view is open, and it has a balcony. The balcony is also equipped with a sofa and mosquito killer lamp. The bathroom has a massage pool big enough for two people.
