I highly recommend trying the cold cuts and cheese platter; it&#39;s a delightful start to the meal and showcases the quality of their ingredients.

The dinner was quite good. I had the salmon tartare with Venus rice and avocado which was excellent. The grilled sea bass was excellent. The whole fish was grilled but they filleted it for you after upon request. My husband ordered the fixed menu. His Risotto was heavy and a large portion was served. There was one mussel and two scallops on the top. Very rich a large serving for his primo. He ordered the pork and potatoes which he enjoyed a great deal. Then he ended his meal with tirimisu, which was delicious. The service was lacking. It took us quite a while to get seated even though we had reservations and the dining room was pretty empty. There was no waiter out in the dining room for quite some time and one of the hotel employees came from the lobby bar to assist. One waiter was on for the whole evening service. Once the girl from the lobby helped, the server could catch up and he was quite nice. Definitely worth the trip!

I was impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the food. The prices are reasonable considering the high standard of service and cuisine offered.

We enjoyed an exceptional lunch at this charming restaurant. It is Michelin recognised and recognised by the Italian chefs association. This small family restaurant, owned and operated by generations since 1964, has beautiful views of the lake below.We did the ala carte menu. My wife loved the artichoke starter. We had the venison, our friends had the pigeon and loved it. The spice cake chocolate dessert was amazing.We had a beautiful local red wine, highly rated on Vivino and reasonably priced.The host, Luca, is the brother of the chef, Paulo Trippini, the bar next door is operated by their sister.

My wife and I live in a neighboring city much of each year and, frequently, try to find and experience restaurants new to us.  Prior reviews of this restaurant gave it high marks but none of the reviews had been recent.  We decided to take our chances and were delighted that we did.  The food was excellent and beautifully presented.  Alessandro, the owner and chef, personally attended to our table and explained his various offerings.  We sat inside because it was windy but, there is a nice outside dining area that filled up by later in the evening.  We anticipate returning in the next few days and bringing friends.

I highly recommend this restaurant! The food was incredible, and the service made me feel so welcome. I&rsquo;ve tried other restaurants in the area and this was my favorite.

The restaurant is in a medievil cellar below a former Palazzo which now houses the museo anticho and the municipio di Genga. It cannot get any more romantic and atmospheric. The food was excellent. The service was also very good even if the proprietor could crack a friendly smile every once in a while.

The restaurant was effortlessly located. Despite being an hour late, the restaurant graciously saved our table. The service was impeccable - neither too fast nor slow. Fantastic food, the pasta dish was a personal highlight, as well as my partner&#39;s main course. The local wine accompanied the food perfectly. Also the waitress serving us was outstanding, being extremely attentive, affable and professional. We are booked in again for Tuesday, it is that good.

A must-visit for anyone in Todi! The combination of quality food, friendly service, and a beautiful location makes this place stand out. The desserts, especially the homemade tiramisu, are a delightful way to end your meal.

When you finally found the restaurant which is only possible with help by phoning the owner you are totally satisfied. The menue is very interesting, good quality, the staff is friendly and fast. We were really satisfied in all aspects even I was  nearly furious when searching the place and driving around like a fool. The tartare from gamberi wasn&#39;t perhaps the optimum as it would have needed more avocado dip. All the rest was to our absolute satisfaction. Also wine by the glass. Price/quality and discount were very good.

This was only my second visit / pilgrimage to La Lanterna as I don&rsquo;t live in Umbria. So I chose the same 3 dishes to see whether I had imagined the quality and taste experienced during my first visit. I HAD NOT! It was just as wonderful. Welcoming staff who definitely care about what they do and about how guests feel. Great quality food with all local produce, home made bread. They take food and wine seriously, the wine list is full of interesting stuff and prices very reasonable when checked against the internet.Ignore reviews that mention a long wait, what we experienced were times you&rsquo;d expect for something to be made fresh, nothing more. Recommend the green salad which didn&rsquo;t appear on the menu but was absolutely delicious - with fennel and various leaves.Restaurant has a great spirit - our nicest evening in Umbria so far.
