Great food, simple but perfectly prepared in the tradition of la cucina italiana. Large portions, excellent and very affordable wines, and delightful service. Worth a trip down the hill from the old town. Very convenient to the Arena Santa Giuliana.

Lovely food and great service. Something to note - the outdoor terrace area has building works just metres away making it quite ugly to sit and look at! Not the restaurants fault but just something to note! Would still recommend

The restaurant is warm and welcoming. The ambiance was lovely and the service and greeting were friendly and genuine. The space is eclectic, original, and well-thought-out. The food was excellent, in keeping with our high expectations. We love the promotion of local producers and the chef excels by ensuring the perfect marriage of the exceptional ingredients. Massive thanks go out to the staff for making our visit truly memorable. We will most certainly be back!

Locanda del Duca is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu showcases the best of Umbrian cuisine, with every dish crafted to perfection using fresh, local ingredients. The pasta was divine, the meats tender and flavorful, and the desserts simply heavenly. The wine list is impressive, featuring excellent local selections. Service was impeccable&mdash;friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The cozy ambiance, combined with the outstanding food, made this one of the best meals we&rsquo;ve had in Italy. Highly recommend for an authentic and memorable dining experience!

Lovely setting in a beautiful village- we enjoyed the lake view sunset over a glass of Prosecco. Dinner was wonderful and our waiter was absolutely brilliant!

Quirky decor. Lovely that there was no television and loud background music. An interesting menu. The food dropped a star as the tagliatelle was slightly overcooked and the paccheri slightly undercooked. The fish dishes were tasty and the beef stracotto was  well executed. Our waiter was very attentive.

Really delicious food - the lamb was amazing (and I say that as a New Zealander where lamb is very common) and my husband really enjoyed his pasta with sausage and truffle. Definitely worth a visit if you&#39;re in Sorento.

We&rsquo;ve spent 3 days in Umbria and had some lovely meals and good wine&hellip; but this is the best we have had so far. Chef Stephano, who speaks good enough English and fluent French, went out of his way to explain everything to us. For an area that is short of fish dishes he had tuna and amberjack on his menus. We had a great meal, good wine and he spent time explaining everything to us. If you&rsquo;re in the area, this restaurant is a must!!!

Our dining experience far surpassed 5 stars! The staff were helpful, friendly and provided exceptional recommendations for our dining experience. The wine selection was exquisite. Thank you Gus&rsquo; staff for such an incredible experience!

The waiter doesn&#39;t speak English, and the menu was entirely in Italian. Luckily, I can speak basic Italian and also used Google Translate.The first dishes we had were excellent (2 with Burrata cheese and the Cupa Cupa salad), but they were huge, and then we couldn&#39;t enjoy the second dishes.The hamburger was without a bun.The grilled chicken was excellent. We liked the grilled veal less.They don&#39;t serve tea.Take into account that the restaurant is on a steep hill. There are 2 parking spaces on the hill, otherwise you need to park on the street and climb uphill.Good toilets.

One of the best meals I&rsquo;ve ever had! Wonderful food prepared simply, fantastic recommendation on wine, friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, and a comfortable, elegant and yet cozy atmosphere both inside and outside. Cannot recommend enough!
