We started off outside but moved in as it became too cold. Really buzzing atmosphere inside.The waitress was really helpful with the use of Google translate  we managed ok. Lots of locals eating there, always a good sign. Good wine &amp; menu choices

We booked a late night dinner to have a solemn dinner and it was accepted. When we arrived, the indoor dining and kitchen is almost close. We were offered a table outside (terrace) which we appreciated but it&#39;s too noisy. We&#39;re given the option to stay in the bar with a few decent tables but we&#39;re not able to order a lot because the staff said the kitchen is about to close and the menu is limited, which made me wonder why would they accept the reservation if the kitchen closes early. The food is delicious and tasty so our frustration went away somehow. Great stuff!

The terrace view of the lighted medieval walls of Avila with a full moon was astounding.  The waiters were charming, conversant, knew their wines and were willing to adjust my food request with slightly different sauce and side dish.  We strongly recommend this restaurant for its excellent food and service.

It was a great experience, in a place plenty of history. The food was excelence, the meat is originally of the region, with seal of quality recognized inside and outside of the borders of Spain. The Starters were fabulous and  mixed diferent kinds of flavours. The dessert was also a good surprise. Good place and enviroment. On the contrary, the only negative aspect of this meal was the delay between the dishes. A good choice in &Aacute;vila

The restaurant maybe seats 25 people. It has an authentic flavor of old Spain with a beehive fireplace in the corner. The entire patina was charming combined with wonderful service and, of course, food. There are several reasonably priced &ldquo;menu del Dias&rdquo; for every taste and pocketbook. The place is going on our very short list of overall restaurant winners.

Cute restaurant on the river with views of walled city Avila. Service prompt and friendly. Food amazing. Salads were huge and each one delicious. Carne cheek dish was incredible.

We stopped by this restaurant to eat the traditional &Aacute;vila steak and it was spectacular! Also the waiters were really kind!

My husband and I had late lunch today at La Rubia,  Carina took special care of us turning the experience into a very enjoyable one. She took the time describing in detail the different dishes and making suggestions.  This is a great place to have a quick bite or to relax in the terrace while tasting tapas and wine, all under the excellent service of Carina.

One of the best hamburgers i&rsquo;ve ever had &hellip; i mean real and tasty meat, well seasoned,  handmade etc. Good service. Nice location close to major attractions.

In the walled medieval city of Avila, so that&rsquo;s a good start for ambience. The dining area is a walled courtyard on the other side of the narrow street from the restaurant and kitchens.The 3 or 4 young waiters were attentive and helpful.I chose squid with salad and a honey chutney as a first course, which was delicious.My main course was duck breast which was a bit rare and chewy for me.A delicious glass of Rioja was an excellent accompaniment.Easting is late for Brits- this doesn&rsquo;t open until 8.15For &euro;50 it was a memorable treat.

The paradores have a lot of common approaches across the chain - not surprising and a way of ensuring that overall standards are good; but it can also seem like it discourages local initiative at times. Not in the Restaurante Parador de Gredos though. The food was excellent, with imaginitive touches and a feel for the locality. The service was efficient but at the same time friendly and relaxed. We ate in several parador restaurants and bars during our recent visit to Spain, and the Restaurante Parador de Gredos was without any doubt the best. And if you&#39;re visiting, take the opportunity to take your post-prandial coffee up to the balcony of the hotel and drink in spectacular views over the trees and the mountains, and enjoy the peace and tranquility.
