We&rsquo;ve eaten here several times and the food and service are consistently excellent. This is likely our favorite Madeira restaurant and we look forward to being at Olivia with every visit.

Nice restaurant, delicious food, specialty coffee. I highly recommend trying the pistachio tiramisu.We booked a table for lunch, specifically to try the lunch menu advertised at &euro;18 (including starter, main course, drink, and dessert). However, when we arrived at our reserved time (16:30), we were informed that the lunch menu is only available from 12:00 to 15:00. This was not mentioned anywhere on the website, and our reservation time was still marked as &ldquo;lunch&rdquo; during booking.From 15:00 to 17:00, only the brunch menu (mainly egg dishes) is available. The manager was helpful and allowed us to order from the evening menu instead. The food was delicious, but the main courses were noticeably more expensive than the lunch menu.Overall, we had a good experience and appreciated the staff&rsquo;s flexibility, but clearer information about menu availability on the website would be helpful, as we specifically chose this restaurant for the lunch menu and its value.

Very nice restaurant, now with more tables outdoors. Good sushi and good pokebowls. Still too expensive soft drinks (&euro;2.50 for a small can), otherwise good prices. When you order a sushi combo nowadays you get some spring rolls instead of sushi/sashimi pieces, that feels a little wrong. But a great restaurant, highest grade: 10.

Staff were friendly and attentive.  Food was stunning, portion sizes ample. Staff offered free Prosecco and small taster starter. Would highly recommend. Prices very reasonable

Welcoming, friendly and excellent service and value for money. Real Italian menu with food quality to a high level. We visited twice in our 7 day visit to Madeira.

Lovely updated veranda with a great view. Delicious local cuisine with great fresh seafood options.  The staff is also very friendly.

The food here is delicious and well-prepared, with standout dishes like the squid in honey sauce and the fish stew. Highly recommend trying the local seafood!

The food was fresh and delicious .  The service was amazing.  We had the scabbard fish, the pork tenderloin tagliatelle, the Mexican meat and everyone was very happy with their meals.

We greatly appreciated the service as well as the wood in the restaurant, probably one of the best we had while staying in Madeira. Thanks a lot for this nice experience

O Calhau de S&atilde;o Jorge is passionate about the food and service.  There is a warmth about the place which is borne out in the care and attention to detail  in all they do. Having eaten here on several occasions, the food is always excellent and plentiful.  The wines come with justified recommendations and are a reasonable price.  A very special restaurant in a special location.

Excellent food. Absolutely delicious. The depth of flavour in the sauces was incredible. You wouldn&rsquo;t know it existed as it&rsquo;s a small place but absolutely worth a visit.
