Not only was the sushi creative and delicious, the staff went out of their way to make our evening special. Someone in our family wasn&rsquo;t feeling well and there are no taxis in the area. Without hesitation, the staff offered to drive us home and refused to take any money for it. Truly service and small town kindness at its best. Grazie mille

Really enjoyable dining experience at Metae. Staff very welcoming. Service excellent. The food was exceptional. Really delicious and beautifully presented. The waiter was most helpful and accommodating and really took an interest in helping us make food choices that worked. Exceptional value for such high quality food. The food was good, but we especially liked the atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The menu is also available in English. We booked through The Fork with a discount, but also without it you&#39;d definitely get value for your money. We only spent 2 days in Taranto, but otherwise we would definitely have been back.

Peaceful location. Service is good very attentive. Food tastes amazing! There were some ants, but that is what you get for a dinner in the fields. We didn&rsquo;t mind.

This is a lovely restaurant, the menu is small but the food is good. On this occasion my steak tartare was a little tough and not the best quality. Apart from that the experience was good. There is an extensive wine list at reasonable prices.

Honestly one of the worst meals I&rsquo;ve had in 3yrs in living in Italy. The view is amazing and the wine list looked nice. That&rsquo;s where the positives end, alas. We ordered two pasta dishes and they took *over an hour* to arrive. And when they did the tortelli were undercooked (not al dente, legit hard). They apologized, but there&rsquo;s really no excuse to treat guests like this. To avoid.

I was really intrigued by this place and I have to say the food is great. The service and staff, however, was really disappointing. They forgot one of the burgers which was served 20 minutes after the others but without chips. The staff wasn&rsquo;t very friendly nor welcoming or polite. It&rsquo;s such a shame as the food is exceptional but we won&rsquo;t be going back because of bad service/ staff.I think the place would need a better trained staff and more organisation, especially because it&rsquo;s a big restaurant which serves different kinds of dishes.

Spectacular setting and creative spin on traditional, classic cuisine. Professional, friendly service. Exceptional wine service by a knowledgeable and well grounded sommelier- with a deep appreciation of the indigenous varietals for which puglia is known. This was an experience that I will look forward to having again.

This is a hidden gem, a must go if you are in the area. The inside is very nicely done, the family that owns it and works in it are very nice. The food is Very good, reasonable, and presented very well. Give it a try, I think you will agree!
