Also, it&rsquo;s an air-conditioned shop, it good to hide under the shade during hot sun in the afternoon. Auntie Gaik Lean&#39;s Old School Eatery is a true gem! We were blown away by the authentic Peranakan cuisine, expertly prepared with a modern twist. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was stunning.The restaurant itself boasts a beautiful and inviting decor, creating a truly memorable dining experience. The service was impeccable, with all staff working seamlessly together. We were fortunate to be served by Adrian, the co-founder, who shared fascinating insights into his culinary journey and the history behind the restaurant.We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Penang. Be sure to make reservations in advance, as the popularity often leads to long queues (for good reason!). This is also an excellent choice for special events.

Was highly recommended to this upmarket Japanese restaurant. Serves high quality food. Not cheap but all well worth it.

I found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality of food offered. The nasi lemak is delicious and the service was fast, especially when there was no queue.
