We made a great choice for our farewell dinner in Milan! Le Pape Bistrot is a modernly decorated space, with super attentive staff who are very well informed about the ingredients, the details of each dish and beautiful wine pairing suggestions. Last but never least, Chef Luca Maestroni&#39;s signature dishes! Highly recommended!

The food at this restaurant is ok. If you know how  american food is supposed to taste, sou will not be satisfied.  We had burgers and spareribs that were simply not up to the american standard. Nonetheless the typical italian dishes like the beef tagliata were not bad at all. The service was impeccable and the waitresses were really nice to us non-italians. The athmosphere on the terrasse is really nice.

We waited ten minutes for someone to bring us the menu. No one came because they were clearing other tables. Then they came to take our order when we didn&#39;t even have a menu. The food was good but the wine we ordered wasn&#39;t completely cold. We were told they would bring something to cool the wine but they didn&#39;t do it until the end of the meal. Overall the food was good but we didn&#39;t feel welcome, it seemed as if they weren&#39;t interested in serving us.

While the sandwiches are delicious, I found the prices a bit steep for the portion sizes. It would be great if they could offer more value for the cost.

The outdoor terrace is a fantastic spot for an aperitif, and the selection of wines is impressive. Highly recommend this place!

You don&#39;t come here for style or history (or peace and quiet!) but the pizzzas are great and the beer choice unusually good for this neck of the woods. Prices very reasonable too.
