We stopped at Makeney Hall for one night as a stop off half way point on route to Sunderland...  lovey setting, peaceful well kept gardens, friendly staff and an enjoyable meal,,,  the only let down was the fact we were leaving the following day

The staff were very friendly and attentive, which made our dining experience enjoyable despite the restaurant being busy.
