Stopped for a late lunch on the way to Assisi and wanted something quick and easy.  I had the cacio e pepe and it was excellent. All the pasta dishes looked very good.  Service was very good. Outside seating was nice.

The restaurant was effortlessly located. Despite being an hour late, the restaurant graciously saved our table. The service was impeccable - neither too fast nor slow. The owner&#39;s warmth was truly memorable, and our conversation about the restaurant&#39;s history was enlightening. The food was exquisite, and the taste of the bruschetta still lingers in my memory as unparalleled. As a vegetarian, I discovered delightful dishes and effortlessly harmonized my meal with that of my carnivorous husband. Great restaurant to go

We loved the restaurant. The servers were very friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful as was the red Sangiovese wine from Arezzo.

Fantastic food, the pasta dish was a personal highlight, as well as my partner&#39;s main course. The local wine accompanied the food perfectly. Also the waitress serving us was outstanding, being extremely attentive, affable and professional. We are booked in again for Tuesday, it is that good.

We had to go back!!!   For sure, it&rsquo;s a wonderful restaurant - the food is GREAT and the staff awesome.  We are leaving Italy with good memories from this restaurant.  Thank you!!

The staff was very welcoming and the atmosphere was really nice and cozy. The food was excellent. My husband and I will definitely go back and we strongly recommend the place if you like good food and good wine.

Great restaurant. We got there early so we had the place to ourselves but it was filling up as we left so booking definitely advisable.

Unfortunately the oven had broken so menu was limited. Perhaps we should have been made aware of that before we arrived. Food ok. Very quiet at restaurant so lacked atmosphere.

My son and I first found La Patriarca one sunny afternoon in 2007, and it quickly became a family favorite. The location (3 minutes from the exit of the autostrada and across the road from the cinema) was super convenient, the staff always kind and generous, and the traditional southern Tuscan food, simply delicious. For 9 years, we were happy, regular diners there. I am so so happy to write that La Patriarca hasn&#39;t changed a bit! Walked in to find the wood-fired grill ablaze, the waitress remembered my face (even though I&#39;m 7 years older!) and the steak and roasted potatoes still as yummy and satisfying as I last remembered. It isn&#39;t fancy (that&#39;s Il Salotto upstairs) but it is exactly what typical cooking of the Val di Chiana should taste like.  Absolutely recommended !!!

This restaurant offers a unique blend of traditional Tuscan cuisine with a modern twist. The pici al rag&ugrave; was outstanding, and the homemade desserts were a delightful finish to the meal.

When you finally found the restaurant which is only possible with help by phoning the owner you are totally satisfied. The menue is very interesting, good quality, the staff is friendly and fast. We were really satisfied in all aspects even I was  nearly furious when searching the place and driving around like a fool. The tartare from gamberi wasn&#39;t perhaps the optimum as it would have needed more avocado dip. All the rest was to our absolute satisfaction. Also wine by the glass. Price/quality and discount were very good.

This was only my second visit / pilgrimage to La Lanterna as I don&rsquo;t live in Umbria. So I chose the same 3 dishes to see whether I had imagined the quality and taste experienced during my first visit. I HAD NOT! It was just as wonderful. And all the other customers were Italian which is always a good sign. And thank you Claudio and Paola for your lovely warm welcome. See you very soon!

A lovely place with a refined atmosphere and excellent local cuisine. The prices are reasonable for the quality offered, making it a great value for a delightful meal.

Welcoming staff who definitely care about what they do and about how guests feel. Great quality food with all local produce, home made bread. They take food and wine seriously, the wine list is full of interesting stuff and prices very reasonable when checked against the internet.Ignore reviews that mention a long wait, what we experienced were times you&rsquo;d expect for something to be made fresh, nothing more. Recommend the green salad which didn&rsquo;t appear on the menu but was absolutely delicious - with fennel and various leaves.Restaurant has a great spirit - our nicest evening in Umbria so far.

Tourist restaurant in a hotel. The food was very tasty and authentic. Terrace seating is available. Good value.

I had an amazing dinner with my family at this restaurant. The carbonara was a hit with my daughters, and I thoroughly enjoyed the beef burger. The service was quick and the staff were courteous and respectful.

The management at this restaurant is so efficient. She knew my booking was on the fork and I didn&#39;t have to ask for the 40% off. Food was very fresh and fantastic flavours, presented well  I highly recommend this restaurant. If we had more time, I would go back for another meal!
