Between the Red Mountain and the Yaowang Mountain, there are three large white towers called "Bagalin", forming the gate to Lhasa. It is only here that it is called "Lhasa", which means "Buddha". Legend is that in the 8th century AD, Chidezu Zan married the Princess of Datang Jincheng, the Princess of Jincheng brought the statue of Sakyamuni Buddha by the Princess Wencheng, and invited him to the main hall of the Jokhang Temple and formulated a complete set of sacrifices and rituals.
