Centennial East Street is located along Dongdi Road and was once one of the most prosperous trade streets in South China's history. During the late Qing Dynasty, it was the commercial and leisure distribution center for countless merchants who went south and north in and out of Guangdong. It was the most prosperous commercial and trade street at the junction of Guangdong, Xiangyu and Shanghai. It was the famous "Boss Street".
