How to get to Peter Hoe Cafe: Locate the front of Popular book store and look as if you were entering. Turn left and walk about 10 metres until the end of the building where there will be a couple of security guards. Enter, turn right and go up two floor. Turn right and right again and there will be an entrance. It is in the most seemingly unknown place. The food is tasty and very fresh. The quiches were recommended and did not disappoint at all. The cafe is based in a rather large furniture/home shop which stocks lots of other small gems. Would recommend if you are visiting KL. Enjoy!

This traditional and artistic cafe enjoys afternoon tea, the strong coffee tastes delicious, and the brewed is very aromatic. Love the classical cafes to enjoy local snacks comfortably and experience a quiet environment.

I have lived in KL for 3 years and when I visit China Town, Peter Hoes is always on my list of places to visit. Firstly because it is amazing that such a wonderful store exists in the middle of China Town, secondly they have excellent toilet facilities and thirdly it is a wonderful place to sit and cool down and have a drink and snack to recharge for your next adventure. Sometimes, unfortunately a place can be let down by a member of staff and this is the case with the Cafe at Peter Hoe. I have had different experiences now of being treated so rudely that I felt it was time to speak out!! The first occasion I had guests in town and rang to book a table for lunch as sometimes it can be very busy and has limited seating. This duly done I turned up with my guests, we sat at a table, we perused the menu and decided what we would like to eat. I approached the serving area to order to be told extremely brusquely that the kitchen was closed.... but I have booked a table..... the kitchen is closed came the response. No apology, no phone call, nothing just a totally dismissive attitude. The second occasion we were in the store with another 2 couples and my husband and I were making some splendid purchases in the store and the other 2 couples had wandered into the cafe and had sat down and ordered drinks and food. When we were ready we joined them at their table and after deciding what we wanted to eat went up to the serving area to order and pay for our food indicating to them where we were sitting. We sat chatting and the couples food arrived and they ordered some more lemon juices and we sat there for a while longer and the couples juices arrived and there was a little confusion as we thought they could be ours and explained to the server that we had ordered food and drink too but it had not arrived yet. Suddenly we were disturbed from our conversation by the banging of hands onto the wooden serving area and a man shouting 'Lady, lady, what is your problem lady, you come h

Went to this place on a casual weekend, not much crowd. First of all waited more than 15 minutes to place order and ask us continue to stand there and wait. The staff who is taking order is impatient and simply answering our enquiries on the food menu, inaccurately. While we were getting the bill and i ask is there a change on the payment method as it used to be different counter, the same staff who took our order answered "Anything can change right", simply blunt. Maybe he is in the bad mood. Overall the food quality is good but the staff deters my next visit.
