After a concert at the Opera House I wanted to walk past Tiananmen Square but it was completely closed to pedestrians. So I got a city bike and rode past with all the other cyclists. You can't go without reservation. You must have one day advance reservation to go inside.

a must go landmark in Beijing. a few other touristy spots in the proximity like the palace museum, national performing centre.

I took my brother to see Tiananmen Square, and there was no prompt to make an appointment, so I couldn't go to the city building. Remember to make an appointment in advance next time you come back.

The square is large, obviously, but excluding the picture of Chairman Mao at the entrance of the Forbidden palace, there is not really much here.

The majestic Tiananmen Square, the magnificent square, the place that the people of the country admire, whenever we walk through here, we feel broad-minded and full of strength in our hearts. The flower bed in the square is very beautiful, maybe because of the current limit, there are not many people, I miss the kite flying in the square in the past, there are a few dragons flying in the air, that happy scene.
