West End Theatre District Review

The West End is a theatre district in central London, also known as the Theatre Zone. This area is located between Westminster City and Camden and covers the Soho and Covent Garden areas. There are multiple theatres and performance venues, many of which are historically and beautifully decorated and are world famous venues

The history of the West End can be seen as the history of British drama. At the end of the 16th century, the first open-air theatre appeared in Britain. Before that, theatre crews could only stream in the streets and bars. The 16th and 17th centuries were the golden era of British drama, Shakespeare created a large number of deeply rooted works, drama began to find audiences to play in fixed places to attract audiences.
