Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts

The highlights of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts are half in the paintings and half in the building itself. The museum is housed in a bright yellow colonial-era mansion built in the 1920s and 1930s, designed by a French architect. It features French-style arched windows, stained glass, and vintage patterned tiles, complemented by Chinese-style red roof tiles and woodwork details. The old mansion is U-shaped, embracing a central courtyard, and the entire museum complex consists of three historic buildings. The museum still retains one of the early wooden elevators installed; its cabin resembles a Chinese sedan chair, and although it is no longer in use, it remains a popular spot for photos. It was established as an art museum in 1987 and is now one of the largest art museums in Vietnam. The collection includes over 10,000 pieces, featuring silk paintings, lacquer paintings, oil paintings, sculptures, and ceramics from various dynasties. The first floor primarily displays modern and contemporary works and includes a gallery and temporary exhibition halls; the second floor focuses on the museum's collection of paintings; the third floor displays older artifacts, such as ancient Champa sandstone statues and traditional crafts from southern Vietnam.

Bui Vien

The area surrounding Bui Vien is known as the foreigner street due to the year-round presence of travelers from around the world. Walking down this street, you can often hear English, Korean, Japanese, and many other languages, making it feel like a small United Nations. Restaurants and street stalls along the street offer everything from pho and banh mi to Indian food, Thai cuisine, and Middle Eastern kebabs, with the scents of fish sauce, curry, and spices lingering in the air. Hon Thom Cable Car - Sun World Hon Thom is a three-rope over-sea sightseeing cable car connecting An Thoi at the southern tip of Phu Quoc Island with Hon Thom. Spanning nearly eight kilometers, it is one of the few long-distance over-sea cable cars in the world. Departing from the Phu Quoc Island side, the cable car passes over several small islands on the sea before finally arriving at Hon Thom, with a one-way journey of about fifteen minutes. The cable car operates on a three-rope system, and its cabins are equipped with large glass windows, allowing passengers to enjoy a 360-degree aerial view of the azure sea below, the scattered pristine islets, and the distant skyline.
