Reviews: Indonesia Komodo Pulau Kalong half-day tour [Bat Island sunset tour with private car and boat service at surprising price, welcome to compare]

Initially, I had some concerns about the recent sea ban and the safety of the wooden boat. However, after arriving at Komodo Island, from the moment I was picked up to the start of the activities, the only word to describe it was "comfortable." The Indonesian guy was incredibly welcoming; he chatted with me and even took photos for me. I was also very lucky that day, witnessing the breathtaking sight of bats returning to their nests. On the return journey, the mountain roads were rugged and the lighting was dim, but the driver's skillful driving was truly admirable.

This was one of the best excursions I've ever been on! Everything was exactly as described—we saw all the most beautiful spots, and we were especially amazed by how hard the guide went to find a spot where two beautiful manta swam right next to us, and one even touched us! Everything was organized perfectly on time, and we made our flight. We also had a wonderful group of Chinese tourists on the boat with us, and we had a great time with them.
Reviews: Komodo Full Day Tour by Speedboat | Pink beach | Padar Island | Pickup/Drop Hotel

This tour was the highlight of my trip to Indonesia! Komodo dragons are so cool, and the pink beach really is pink. We didn't see the manta rays, but spotted a tiny shark and a turtle while snorkeling. The places we visited were unreally beautiful! On the down side, the speed boat was too small for 20 people. In addition, most of the tourists didn't understand English and therefore were unable to follow the guide's instructions properly. Perhaps the guide could use some translation apps or AI to make sure everyone knows what to do, especially when it comes to safety around the komodo dragons or in the open sea.

As soon as I booked, I received a call to adjust the departure time. As stated in the guide, there is an additional charge if you travel further from Labuan Bajo. I used this service to depart from the hotel, visit the caves and hilltop tourist spots, and then arrive at the airport. There is a building with a large souvenir shop and restaurant right in front of the airport entrance, so I was dropped off there, said goodbye, killed some time, and then walked to the airport (about 2-3 minutes).
