The tour was exactly what we were hoping for – not too short, but not too long either. Perfect for traveling with a small child (5 years old)! We saw the most important sights; you could certainly spend more time there, but whether that's necessary is up to you. Our guide, Ramadan, and driver, Mussa, were very, very nice. Ramadan spoke excellent German, which he was happy to use! If there were any minor communication problems, we switched to English. We were very satisfied. Pick-up was at 9:00 AM and we returned at 2:00 PM! The journey took about an hour each way to and from the Neptune Pwani Beach Resort!★

Our guide Felix spoke excellent German and answered all our questions about the island. The hotel pick-up went smoothly, the drive was very enjoyable thanks to his great conversation, and the guided tour through the forest was very interesting. The turtle cave was also very impressive.★

We were picked up very punctually and were lucky enough to be the only ones on this tour. This meant we arrived at Jozani early, with very few others there. Thanks to our truly excellent guide, we were able to see all sorts of animals, especially monkeys. The guide's extensive knowledge was a real plus. The mangrove forest was also impressive. Because we arrived early, we practically had the boardwalk to ourselves and were able to take fantastic photos in the receding tide. As soon as our tour was over, hordes of other tourists suddenly arrived, causing traffic chaos. There are no paved roads there, and they're all very narrow.★

Reviews: Half-Day Dolphin & Snorkeling Tour in Mnemba Island Zanzibar

It was a super exciting experience for the whole family (two adults and two kids 10 and 14 years old). The trip had three stops: swimming with dolphins, snorkelling in coral gardens with plenty of colourful fish, and searching for starfish. Every stop was great. We never thought we could swim so close to dolphins. If we were lucky we had them even 1 m from us. Chichi and his captain were very patient with us and searched for the best places to see them as close as possible. They always told us when was the right time to jump into the water to have the best views and experience swimming next to them. Truly amazing! Coral gardens were beautiful with tons of colourful fish around us (sometimes also thanks to the food our captain used to entice them). During the last stop near Mnemba Island, our captain was diving and bringing the starfish on the board. Within less than 5 minutes he has collected four of them. We had a great time with Chichi and his captain during this trip. Chichi is very friendly, and flexible, and provides good tips for snorkelling. He has a very good price (much cheaper than in our hotel). Moreover, we had a private boat only for our family which was also cool. The fruit he offered (pineapple and watermelon) was the best we have tasted during our stay in Zanzibar. We can only recommend going with Chichi for this trip!
