Reviews: 1-day tour to Pompeii + Mount Vesuvius in Italy|Admission Ticket + Pizza Lunch|Multiple Activities

As long as you speak a little English, the overall experience is good. The volcano has a short time, and it is recommended to climb to the top.
Reviews: Naples: Naples, Pompeii, and Vesuvius Full-Day Tour

We experienced two successive last-minute changes of meeting point, each one further and further from our hotel. Our first driver, Max, arrived 10 minutes late and drove us through Naples to Pompeii. The driving was quite rough. The guide seemed more interested in the English speakers than the French speakers. Everything changed in Pompeii, with a new guide, Marie, who was fantastic! Then, for the trip to Mount Vesuvius, we had a new driver, Tonio, who was wonderful (friendly and cheerful), and a rather unremarkable guide. We had to rush up the mountain because the timing was far too tight to reach the summit and descend within the allotted time. It's a shame the clouds spoiled the view of the Bay of Naples, which should have been exceptional.

From the meeting point, we were greeted by Clemente, who immediately introduced himself and guided us to the shuttle, where we met Bruno, our driver. On the way to our first destination, Sorrento, Clemente made the ride fun by sharing history, laughing with the group, and playing great Italian music. The same great energy continued on the way to Positano and then Amalfi, our final stop. The time spent at each location was fair and well balanced. Bonus: In Amalfi, we had the option to take a boat ride along the coastline for €15 (cash only) bring cash unless you want to pay ATM fees). The boat ride lasted about 35–45 minutes and included some history plus views of cool spots, including the small town where The Equalizer 3 was filmed. Among other stuff. Overall, the price for visiting all three destinations was fair, and the total tour time was about 8+ hours from pickup to return. Everything felt well organized and not rushed. I would highly recommend this tour.
Reviews: Full-day Sorrento, Amalfi Coast, Pompeii from Naples or Salerno

Guided tour of Sorrento during the Christmas holidays. Interesting history, Piazza Tasso, the Duomo, artistic nativity scenes, decorated streets, and shops selling local lemon products. The mural dedicated to Lucio Dalla, Sofia Loren, and Caruso is lovely. The view of the coast is beautiful, as is the story of Caruso linked to the Hotel Vittoria. Sorrento's lucky symbol is the red horn...a perfect gift! The limoncino di Sorrento is delicious, accompanied by lemon biscuits. Sorrento...is Sorrento!
