▲ The Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Hall is located by the Jialing River in Chongqing, adjacent to No. 13 Hongyan Village, No. 50 Zengjiayan, Guiyuan, and the former site of the Xinhua Daily. These were all activity bases of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee during the Anti-Japanese War, serving as centers for our Party to consolidate and develop the anti-Japanese national united front and lead the people in revolutionary struggles in the Kuomintang-controlled areas. Due to its outstanding achievements, the memorial hall was established to commemorate this history.

▲ Zhazidong, located at the foot of Gele Mountain in the suburbs of Chongqing, is surrounded by mountains on three sides with a concealed terrain. Originally a small coal mine for manual coal extraction, it earned its name due to the abundance of slag and scarcity of coal. In 1938, it was transformed into a detention facility.
