It’s a long tour, starting at 4.30am and come back to the hotel at around 8pm. But it’s worth doing! We visited 6 points with some moderate amount of walking, they are all fascinating. The traditional lunch is delicious. Alma, our guide, and the driver is doing their job very well, appreciate it!

I had such a fun and memorable experience on this trip. The group was incredibly lively and friendly, making it easy to enjoy the day as a solo traveler. This is a solid one-day activity to experience the Kazakh outdoors. We went to 5 sites, including a ride on an old Soviet bus and a pony, with a delicious lunch at a local home. If you have more time, stretching it to a two-day trip with an overnight stay in a yurt would probably be better but if you only have a day to spare, do this. We had a pleasant guide, Naz, and driver and they managed a packed day without us feeling too rushed.

We combined on the same day the Almaty city tour and the visit to the Shymbulak Ski Station. Even in the summer, that's a very beautiful and pleasant place. On the highest point you have a great view of the place. Our guide from Neomad, Nursultan, was a great company, we had an excellent day with him.
