What a great boat trip. Fantastic crew. And delighted to see so much wildlife. Highly recommend this cruise.
Reviews: Paihia: Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach Trip with Lunch
Guest User2026-01-04
Simply perfect. Superbly professionally organized. The excellent guide talked almost non-stop on the way to Cape Reinga about New Zealand's history, the Maori, and the legends and stories of the inhabitants. You arrive fully informed and understand the spirit of Cape Reinga, and can appreciate why this place is "sacred" to the Maori. Our bus was converted, 4x4, and comfortably sprung – just right for the off-road tracks. Driving a bus along the beach is a great experience, but the beach is also about 55 km long on foot. The guide will explain why it's still called 90 Mile Beach. Definitely try the sand slides. However, the original location is no longer used for this, out of respect for the local environment.
Reviews: Paihia/Russell: Hole in the Rock, Dolphins & Island Cruise

We sailed through the Hole of the Rocks on a catamaran and saw a group of four dolphins. We stopped on an island for watching and swimming.
Reviews: Afternoon Piha Beach and Rainforest Tour from Auckland

Bush and Beach provided the very best experience compared to several tours we’ve taken visiting Australia and New Zealand since Dec 11. Our experienced tour guides Leon and Mairi, who doubled up as the driver, were both amazing individuals, who were not only extremely informational but also entertaining and hospitable. They delivered excellent commentary that was easy to understand and equally important, easy to hear with a great PA system. We recommend very highly Bush and Beach, who went above and beyond all expectations! Well done guys :-)
Reviews: Coast and Rainforest Eco-Tour from Auckland with Picnic Lunch
Guest User2024-04-13
My wife and I along with another couple recently visited Auckland, New Zealand on a cruise vacation to the South Pacific. While there, we took this excursion. The bus was very comfortable and our group was quite small, which made the experience very enjoyable. Our guide was personable and very knowledgeable. We visited a rain forest and several scenic overlook areas with amazing views of the forest and lake scenery. We also visited a black sand beach. This excursion was very enjoyable.
Reviews: Paihia: Hole in the Rock Fast Boat Ocean Adventure

The fast boat is a great way to see the hole in the rock, we were lucky to go through the hole and also enter a cave. There was good narration throughout the trip albeit could have been slightly louder as the engine is quite loud.
