As a hidden snowy mountain getaway within a day's reach from Chengdu, the Heart of Langka has become a favorite among hiking enthusiasts and landscape photographers with its high photo-worthy potential, lightweight itinerary, and stunning plateau scenery. The Heart of Langka – This route combines the essence of popular mountain ranges like Yamu Snow Mountain and Cipo Sacred Mountain, making it a phenomenal photo spot with an incredibly high success rate for stunning shots.
The lightweight design with just a 2.6 km one-way distance makes snow-capped mountains and sea of clouds within easy reach. Facing forward, you can admire the sharp ice walls of Tianhaizi's main peak, surrounded by mountain groups like Xiaogongga and Aidejia Peak. The probability of encountering sea of clouds exceeds 80%. Along the summit trail, you'll see numerous peaks including Tianhaizi, Baihaizi, Shehaizi, Bijiashan, Jiamifeng, Huashan, Lotus Snow Mountain, Yala Snow Mountain, Yamu Snow Mountain, Zheduo Mountain, and Jiazi Peak.
Itinerary preview
- DAY1 Chengdu - The Heart of Lankaa - Chengdu
- Departure at 7:00 AM from Tianhe Road Subway Station. The night before, we will send you a notification message with the meeting time, location, vehicle details, tour leader information, important notes, and preparation requirements for supplies and equipment.
- Depart on time in the morning, pass through the Ya'an-Kangding Expressway to reach Kangding, then head to the Heart of Langka. Arrive at the hiking starting point around 11:30 and begin the hike. [Round-trip hike of 5.6 km with an elevation gain of approximately 700 meters]
- Return by bus around 17:00, expected to arrive in Chengdu and disband around 22:00! (Actual time and location may vary.)
- The above itinerary is a planned schedule only. If the activity cannot proceed as scheduled due to uncontrollable factors (such as natural disasters like heavy rain or mudslides), the activity time will be postponed. In case of unexpected situations (such as vehicle breakdowns, landslides, traffic jams, road diversions, traffic control, etc.), temporary itinerary adjustments may be required. Decisions will be made by majority vote, and in case of significant disputes, the activity leader will make the final decision without further objections. All participants are expected to maintain a positive attitude and team spirit. Since we are traveling together as a group, mutual understanding, support, and cooperation are essential. The potential risks that may be encountered during this activity include but are not limited to: 1. Natural environmental hazards: lightning, heavy rain, landslides, falling rocks; 2. Animal and plant injuries: snake bites, bee stings, mosquito harassment, poisonous plants; 3. Free movement risks: sprains, getting lost, cramps, exhaustion, heatstroke; 4. Others: traffic accidents, robbery, lack of water and food, etc. Participants should fully recognize these risks, exercise caution, and take necessary preventive and response measures to avoid risks and the occurrence of personal, mental, and property damage caused by such risks.
Individuals with a history of conditions such as the three highs (hypertension, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia), heart disease, asthma, infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, mental illness, severe anemia, etc., those in the recovery period from major or medium surgeries, individuals with mobility impairments, and pregnant women are not permitted to participate.
Minors aged 8-18 must be accompanied by their legal guardian when joining the tour group.
Registration guidelines
1. This activity involves hiking at an altitude of approximately 4000m-4300m, requiring some outdoor experience. Not recommended for beginners, with the endpoint only reaching the large platform.
2. Recommended three-layer clothing (quick-dry base layer, thin down jacket or fleece for warmth, and a windproof outer shell), gaiters, crampons, sunglasses, gloves, rain gear, power bank, trekking poles, sun protection, and an adequate supply of snacks and water, along with any other personal necessities.
3. There are restrooms at the starting point. Use them before ascending as there are no facilities on the mountain.
4. Bring a thermos! Drink plenty of hot water on the road to prevent altitude sickness and hypothermia.
5. Set the meeting time and retreat promptly.
6. It is recommended to bring a spare set of clothes and shoes/socks to keep on the bus in case of bad weather, so you can change if you get wet coming down the mountain.

6. Outdoor activities carry certain risks and unpredictability. All participants are considered to be fully capable of civil conduct. The organizer of this activity will arrange suitable insurance for each participant. In case of personal injury during the activity, compensation shall be handled by the insurance company according to the insurance policy and applicable laws, based on the injured party's claim. The organizer shall not bear any compensation liability in the absence of subjective fault. For those registering on behalf of others, the organizer shall not be liable for any personal injury suffered by the registered participants.
