Huamugou National Forest Park

The total area of Huamugou National Forest Park in Keshiketeng Banner, Inner Mongolia is 41,858 hectares. It is located in the Saihanba area on the eastern section of the Yanshan Mountains and the northern edge of the Qilaotu Mountains. It is well-known throughout the country for its rich grassland landscape on the Bashang grassland. It is known as the pearl of Bashang and a natural oxygen bar! The park integrates mountains, hills, plateaus, sandy land, forests and grasslands, and integrates meadow jungles, grassland lakes, characteristic scenic forests, wild animals, seasonal phases, and natural landscapes in one place. It can be called a tourist attraction. In spring, azaleas, primroses, irises, etc. bloom in competition; in summer, the sun is covered by dense shade, and natural wild fruits hang on the branches, which are refreshing to taste; in autumn, the Attraction is colorful and the forests are dyed; in winter, it is covered with snow, and the rime and snow birch are covered in silver, and the trees are jade-like. Looking far away, the white birch trees all over the mountains are like graceful girls, swaying in the luxuriance of summer, the splendor of autumn, and the purity of winter. How can one not admire the beauty? The occasional bird calls and deer calls attract the curious. In the depths of the jungle, wild animals such as Northeast Red Deer and Roe Deer appear from time to time. It is not difficult to imagine what a mysterious and harmonious scenery it is. Due to its unique geographical structure and cultural environment, Huamugou National Forest Park is beautiful all year round, especially in autumn and winter. In summer, Huamugou National Forest Park is a resort for cooling off and escaping the heat. The forests are lush and cool, and the summer is as cool as spring. Birds are singing and dancing. In autumn, Huamugou National Forest Park has high skies, blue waters, light winds, and colorful forests. The beauty of Huamugou National Forest Park lies in the word "natural". The village is not big and is hidden in the ditch. If you don't stop your car, you will hardly find it even if you drive by the village. The slope is not steep, but there are gullies and ravines. There are patches of white birch trees on the top of the mountain, irregular terraces on the hillside, and old elm trees with graceful postures in groups of three or two at the foot of the mountain. In the gaps between the trees are sheep folds and cattle pens surrounded by magnolias, which are either circular or rectangular. There is no unified planning, no deliberate arrangement, and no guidance from any artist. Everything is so natural, and everything conforms to the aesthetic norms of staggered heights, sparse and dense interlacing, and the combination of crooked and straight. On the green grassland like the sea, under the clear blue sky, accompanied by the cheerful horse-head fiddle and long pastoral songs, enjoying the pure air of the natural oxygen bar with the fragrance of green grass, isn't this the pure land that you have been dreaming about and the feeling you want to get back?Hexigten Banner · 65.8 km from downtown

Rehuitang Town is located in the northeastern part of Hexigten Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, approx. 30 km from Jingpeng Town, the seat of the banner government. It is a small town beyond the Great Wall that flourished due to its hot springs. The hot springs in the town have been developed and used for over 400 years. The spring water gushes from deep underground rock minerals, with temperatures consistently between 48°C–83°C. It is rich in various minerals and trace elements such as lithium and strontium. This area is also the Hot Spring Park of the Hexigten Global Geopark. The fame of the hot springs dates back a long time. According to records, Emperor Taizu and Emperor Taizong of the Liao Dynasty both made special trips here to bathe. Legend has it that after the Battle of Ulan Butong during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Kangxi also bathed here, and the "Kangxi Bathing Well" site remains in the town to this day. Later, when the 9th Panchen Lama visited Jingpeng, he also left behind the "Panchen Bathing Well" here. Today, most hotels in the town are connected to the hot spring pipelines, allowing guests to soak in the springs at any time. To the north of the town lies Huanggangliang National Forest Park. The "Re-A Line," a self-drive prairie route, starts here, passing through forest areas and pastures before reaching the Arshihaty Stone Forest. Attractions such as Gongger Prairie and Dali Lake are also within a 100 km radius, and many tourists use this place as a stopover and transfer point when touring Hexigten. The Jitong Railway passes through the town, with the Galadestai Station located here. This section of the railway, known for its steep climbs and interconnected bridges and tunnels, was once famous for its steam locomotives, attracting photography enthusiasts from all over the world. After winter arrives, the hot spring water flows into the Wuliang Sutai River south of the town. The river surface does not freeze in winter, and the water vapor creates a misty atmosphere. Soaking in the hot springs and then viewing the mist-covered valley is a unique winter experience in the town.Hexigten Banner · 28.9 km from downtown

This grassland is highly recommended. We visited in autumn, and although it wasn't as golden, it's still worth a second visit. The grassland in spring is much greener, stretching as far as the eye can see like an oasis. While the birch forests are beautiful from afar, up close they're covered in horse manure—black and polluting, making the grassland smell and the experience unpleasant for tourists, completely masking the earthy aroma. We suggest that the horse owners pick up the manure to give tourists a better impression. Overall, it's a very beautiful environment and worth visiting. Be prepared for the cold; it gets just as cold, or even colder, at night.

🎑Ulan Butong during the Mid-Autumn Festival is absolutely the pinnacle of autumn scenery!👍🍁 The red, yellow, and green hues contrast beautifully with the blue sky and white clouds, a beauty beyond words... Here, you can forget all your worries; if you miss it, you'll have to wait another year.🍵

Towering stone forests, accompanied by birch groves, offer a breathtaking view as you wander among the grey rock formations and golden leaves, experiencing the wonders of nature. Grass grows beneath the trees, while blue skies and white clouds rise above the stone forest, creating a vibrant atmosphere. In the distance, alpine meadows stretch out, vast and magnificent. The path leading here is also a tapestry of meadows and forests, with valleys and grasslands shifting and changing – a continuous panorama of beauty. The unique scenery of the Stone Forest, unlike any other place, is definitely worth a visit.

I highly recommend Huamugou National Forest Park in Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng! It's a hidden gem where forest and grassland seamlessly blend. The vast, straight birch forests are breathtaking, and in autumn, the golden leaves against the backdrop of evergreen pines and fiery red shrubs create a vibrant, almost painterly scene. The lakes and mountains of Hama Dam and Jinchan Lake offer stunning views, especially at sunrise when the reflections on the water are breathtaking – a paradise for photographers. Hiking along the wooden boardwalks is easy, and the fresh air is filled with the fragrance of grass and trees – a truly therapeutic natural oxygen bar. July and August are perfect for escaping the summer heat, while late September to early October is when the autumn colors are at their peak. The roads are easy to drive on, and the park is clean. While the dining options aren't luxurious, the authentic experience is unparalleled. It's perfect for road trips within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, family outings, and photography trips – you won't regret coming!

The lakes on the grassland are very precious. Dali Lake, the second largest lake in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has beautiful scenery. The wetlands in the South Bank Scenic Area are also worth a visit. Maybe because of the drought this year, the grass around it is not growing very well!

In the center of the Nanshan Mountain in Reshuitang, there is a martyrs' cemetery to commemorate the six martyrs who died on February 28, 1946. They were killed by counter-revolutionaries who were fighting back against them during the struggle to reduce rent and interest, eliminate bandits and fight tyrants. The revolutionary martyrs will live forever!

Absolutely stunning autumn scenery! The colors are incredibly rich and varied, making the trip well worth it and highly recommended! 👍👍 Along the way, there were colorful plants on both sides, in shades of green, red, orange, and yellow, as well as rock formations of various shapes. At the summit, there was even snow, offering a breathtakingly expansive view and unexpected beauty.

Arriving at the Ulanbutong Evenki Reindeer Farm, we were greeted by a detailed introduction to the development and evolution of the Evenki reindeer herding tradition. The farm explained the structure, layout, and requirements of Evenki tents, as well as the habits and diet of the reindeer. It's a great place to learn about the Evenki people's reindeer herding culture. It's also a favorite spot for children to feed and pet the reindeer. It was raining today, so there weren't many people.

You must visit the Dari Lake scenic spot when you come to Inner Mongolia. The road is flat, easy to walk and beautiful! There are sightseeing buses to pick you up, which is super convenient. Both the elderly and children can play. It is full of green, with grasslands, trees, and Dari Lake. The scenery is super beautiful!
