Reviews: Premium 8-Person Small Group: Terracotta Warriors + Bronze Chariots at Lishan Garden + Huaqing Palace 1-day Tour / Private Guide

Because it was Monday and the off-season, our group consisted of only the three of us, giving us a whole Tesla to ourselves. And a big thumbs up to our tour guide, Liu Ting! On the return trip, we encountered heavy snow, turning a 45-minute drive into 2.5 hours of traffic. He drove steadily and patiently the entire way, providing excellent service. Visiting three attractions in one day was a bit rushed, but it was definitely worth it. Having a guided tour at each attraction is a great option; you should definitely hire one.

Mr. Louis delves deeply into the subject matter, demonstrating a wealth of historical knowledge. His excellent general knowledge perfectly complements the tour.

Professional tour mixed with other groups. We were 10 mins late but guide was patient and nice. Picked us up at our hotel even when it’s outside of the ring. Description as is, but note they will ask you for add-on options. Like cable car ride up to Lishan (complimentary if you buy the package) additional virtual reality tour (quite fun but costly). Might be better if you secure your own ride and get an official tour guide at the Terra-Cotta warrior museum itself.

They also explained a lot about our original destinations, the Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Palace, which I found easy to understand. They also suggested additional tours on the day, which allowed us to enjoy sightseeing even more than originally planned. It would have been helpful for travelers if they had explained the locations while using a map app, so it would have been easier to visualize our next destination in advance. It would have been nice if they had told us in advance if there were separate performances for Chinese and foreigners. We saw two different plays, both of which were worth seeing, and although they cost extra, I'm glad we did.
