Mausoleum of Genghis Khan
The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan is located on the Gandeli Grassland in Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, 70 kilometers from Dongsheng District. Due to the prevalence of secret burials among the Mongolians, the true location of Genghis Khan's mausoleum has always been a mystery. The current mausoleum is a cenotaph, having been moved several times before finally being returned to its original location in Ejin Horo Banner from Ta'er Monastery in Huangzhong County in 1954. Located 185 kilometers north of Baotou City, the area boasts lush green grass and a magnificent grassland landscape. The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan has now become a major tourist attraction in Inner Mongolia.

Kubuqi Desert Tourist Area
The Kubuqi Desert, China's seventh largest desert, is located on the south bank of the Yellow River in the "几" (ji) bend of the Yellow River in the Hetao Plain (sometimes called the Hetao Desert). To the north lies the Langshan area of the western Yinshan Mountains. "Kubuqi" is a Mongolian word meaning the string on a bow, because it lies below the Yellow River like a string hanging on it.
