The cruise is the most worthwhile thing in Hobart
Reviews: 3-hour wilderness cruise around Tasman Island, Tasmania [optional Port Arthur/Tasmania Devil Zoo]

It was a foreign tour group, and the entire tour was conducted in English. The cruise was spectacular; we saw unique landforms, seals, and the biggest surprise was seeing many dolphins. Brunch was simple: coffee and bread. Lunch was sandwiches. We also visited the Port Arthur historical site to see the prison. The environment inside was excellent and very beautiful, just be careful as there was a lot of what looked like kangaroo droppings on the ground. Although we left very early in the morning, we returned early as well, so we weren't too tired.

The main reason to visit Tasmania and Hobart. The Tasman Peninsula cruise was awesome. The cliffs and wildlife were spectacular.

Rug up if you go mid winter as we did. Sites were beautiful and it was fun to see the seals. But we were filed to the bone by the time we got back.

Excellent guides that are very knowledgeable and can tell an interesting story. The facility is so well presented and run. It is very well worth a 1.5hr drive from Hobart.
