1. Children aged 4-11 can travel for free if they purchase tickets with Adult Ticket holders. Each adult can bring up to 2 free children. They must be purchased together when booking the pass. The third child or more must purchase a youth pass separately. infant aged 2 or 3 years and below can travel with adults without purchasing a ticket. If a seat is required, please purchase a child pass for the infant. 3. The child's pass must be consistent with the accompanying adult's pass (same pass type, class, days and validity period, etc.). The country of residence of the child and the adult must also be the same. If the child and the adult's actual country of residence are different, the country of residence on the child's pass should be filled in according to the country of residence on the adult's pass. 4. Passengers holding Senior Pass or youth Pass are not allowed to bring children for free ride. You need to purchase a non-free child ticket. Please contact customer service for details.
How to use
1. After the ticket is successfully issued, you will receive a confirmation email from Trip.com, which contains your booking name and pass number (Pass number, usually a six-digit combination of letters and numbers)
 
2. Please go to the Rail Planner App to activate the pass before taking the train for the first time and select the date of your first trip. Please note that rides are only available if activated.
 
3. When boarding the train, please show the QR code in the Rail Planner App to the conductor for inspection. If you need to reserve a seat for a line, please show the reservation letter together with it.
 
4. With a first-class pass, you can ride in a second-class carriage, and the fare difference will not be refunded.
 
5. Please carry your passport with you. The conductor may check it.
 
6. Most train stations in Europe do not require security check and ticket checking. It is recommended to go to the station half an hour in advance to confirm the flight schedule. European train platform information is usually displayed on the big screen at the train station 10 minutes in advance. Please pay attention to the APP and station information in time.
 
7. If a train is delayed or canceled due to force majeure, please promptly check on the APP to see if there are other trains to the same destination, or seek help from the train station staff.
 
8. It is recommended to download the APP of the line train company and use it together with Google to facilitate timely viewing of train information.

Change & cancellation policies
If a cancellation request is submitted before 12:00 AM, 1 day(s) prior to the date of use, no cancellation fee will be charged.
If a cancellation request is submitted after 12:00 AM 1 day(s) before the date of use, a fee of 100% will be charged.
Cancellation is not allowed after activation or reservation.
If a discount is applied, the cancellation fee will be calculated based on the original price before the discount and will not exceed the amount paid.
Partial refund is not available.
Important note

[Precautions for use]

1. The name on the pass must be consistent with the valid passport/ID document. If the conductor finds any discrepancy during ticket inspection, he may require a full fare ticket and charge a fine of 200 euros.

2. The pass must be activated within 11 months from the date of purchase. Expired passes will be automatically invalidated.

Child Rules

  • Children aged 4-11 can travel for free with a child pass
  • Each adult passenger can bring 2 children with them for free. For example, when 2 adults travel by bus, they can bring a total of 4 children with them for free. If an adult passenger needs to bring more than 2 children, they need to purchase a separate youth Pass for the 3rd or more children.
  • Passengers with senior or youth passes cannot take children for free. Child passes must be booked for children.
  • Children must be accompanied by at least one adult passenger for the entire journey. The accompanying passenger must be over 18 years old, but does not need to be a family member of the child.
  • Children aged 3 or under can ride for free without purchasing a pass. Children aged 3 or under cannot occupy a seat. During busy traffic hours, the accompanying adult must hold the child on his lap. If children aged 3 or under need an independent seat, they must purchase a child pass. The agent must calculate the free child pass based on the ratio of adult passengers to free accompanying children.
  • The child's pass must be the same as the accompanying adult's pass (same pass type, class, days and validity period, etc.). The child and adult's country of residence must also be the same. If the child and adult's actual country of residence are different, the country of residence on the child's pass should be filled in according to the country of residence on the adult's pass.

  • People living outside the EU and the following countries can travel with a Eurail Pass: Albania, Andorra, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, Russian Federation, San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom and Italy
  • Passports or personal ID cards can be used as proof of citizenship. Long-term or short-term residence documents issued by the government that cover the scope of the pass can be used as proof of residence.

[Terms of Use]

  • Digital passes can be added directly to your mobile device
  • Book up to 11 months in advance
  • No need to confirm travel date in advance
  • Add your e-pass directly to the Eurail mobile app (OS: Android 6.0 / iOS 13.0 / iPhone 5 and above)
  • The name on the pass must match the name on the passport
  • The pass must be activated in the Eurail mobile app within 11 months from the date of purchase (except for promotional products, which have different validity periods depending on the activity details, see the disclosure on the details page)
  • Passes must be activated in the Eurail app before first use or before using any pass benefits
  • Flexi Pass: Before your first train/ferry trip, you must select a travel date in the Eurail mobile app. If you are travelling on an overnight train, select the departure date of your overnight train as your travel date in the calendar. The trip will still count as part of your departure date as long as you do not change trains after midnight.

[Change & Cancellation Policy]

  • When you bind the APP, you will be asked to select the first date of use (i.e. the first ride date). From that date, the subscription will be activated and cannot be canceled. If you need to cancel the subscription, please cancel the activation three days before this date and apply to the customer service for cancellation.

How to Deactivate

  • Go to the Rail Planner App [My Pass] page, tap the three dots in the upper right corner, and tap [Deactivate Pass]. If [Deactivate Pass] is not displayed, it means the first date selected when activating the pass has passed and the pass is non-refundable.
