I really wanted to go to Wolong, so I signed up. I received a phone call in English beforehand to confirm my participation, so I needed to be able to answer the phone. If you can connect via WeChat, it seems that using the WeChat calling function is also acceptable. I was asked to send a photo of my passport. The meeting time was 6:50 the next day, but the final meeting place was not specified until 10 PM the day before. WeChat provided detailed information such as photos of the meeting place and directions from the nearest station. On the day of the tour, the driver only spoke Chinese, so I couldn't understand a word he was saying. I was supposed to get my tickets issued at the Wolong ticket office, but a translation app told me that the payment hadn't been received. I contacted them via WeChat, and after some negotiation, I finally got my tickets issued. However, I couldn't figure out how to take the sightseeing bus to the Panda Center or where to catch the return sightseeing bus. A kind person approached me and helped me by explaining using a translation app. The meeting place for the return bus to Chengdu was the same as where I got off, but that information was sent via WeChat at noon. I somehow managed to get back to Chengdu. I was grateful for all the support I received via WeChat, but the tour was conducted entirely in Chinese, which made it quite a precarious experience.
