The itinerary was excellent and well-planned. The weather was perfect that day, allowing for close-up views of the crater.
The scenery was beautiful, and the pace was relaxed and enjoyable.
The tour guide spoke excellent Japanese, provided thorough explanations, and avoided being verbose or pushy.
The beef set meal at the Chinese restaurant was also very good. This day trip is highly recommended. However, getting into Aso on your own is quite challenging, as it involves driving for over an hour through the mountains.★

Despite the fact that the boats were being serviced at Takachico Gorge and the crater was closed due to a helicopter accident, the tour was still great. I was impressed they called me to tell me about the cancellation of the boat trip and offered me a refund for that portion even before my trip started. When they found out the crater was closed, they also communicated it and offered a full refund if I didn’t want to take the trip anymore. I think it’s hard to come by companies these days that are so pro-active and handle issues so promptly. Yang Meng our guide was awesome, she contacted us, created a group chat and shared a lot of information about Mount Aso and Takachico Gorge. The Kusasenri area is very worth going to even if the Crater is closed. Takachico was beautiful and got to eat Nagashi somen out of bamboo shoots and water from the gorge. Cool experience. Yang Meng was so organized and told us beforehand how to make the best out of each part of the itinerary Highly recommend★

Suitable for lazy people, this tour covered four attractions, which felt a bit rushed. The tour guide service was excellent, and the photography skills were also good. Actually, you can take a bus from Hakata Station to Meotoi (Twin Sisters Rocks) for 1000 yen. After returning, I realized that only the beach was worth spending time experiencing. I recommend taking the bus to the beach and spending a whole day there; it will be a better experience than booking a day tour.Trip.com Picks
