Reviews: Istanbul: Best City Highlights Guided Tour with Tukish Lunch

Karhan(aka Dude) 😂 was an acceptional tour guide. He not only took us through Istanbul point to point but he explained everything we saw and everywhere we were going in detail. He took us to a very good restaurant with delicious food on our route. The pickup and drop off were easy and the Mercedes mini van was comfortable for the 13 of us! Thank you again for the best tour of Istanbul I've ever done. As an aside, I was thrilled that we were there on a Tuesday so we got to see the Basilica Cistern instead of the usual Toptkapi Palace.

There was no guide at the meeting time. I called the contact number but got no response. Finally, they contacted me; the guide arrived shortly afterward but took us to a restaurant where we had to wait for the rest of the group to finish lunch. The tour started 25 minutes later... The guide was very good and professional. It's a shame the tour was a bit quick and we didn't see every part of the palace, but what we saw was very interesting. It would be ideal to allow a little more time.

Our Japanese guide, Basak, guided us around Istanbul in a very comfortable environment! He showed us around popular tourist spots, avoiding the crowds, and also gave us detailed information about affordable souvenir shops and how to use public transportation, which was very helpful! I highly recommend him to anyone traveling to Istanbul from Japan!

Reviews: Istanbul: Bosphorus Sunset Cruise with Drinks & Snack

We came to Istanbul for just a couple of days in January. We planned to take a stroll, but it was very cold and rainy outside. Nevertheless, we decided to take a Bosphorus cruise. We chose a tour on trip.com because we could pay with a Russian card and the price was cheaper than what we were being offered on the street. After reading reviews, we opted for the snack-only package, and we didn't regret it. Firstly, we were allowed on the boat almost an hour before the tour itself, and we sat at a table in a warm, dry room instead of freezing in the rain. We downloaded an audio guide in advance, and it turned out to be a very interesting ride, listening to it. The cruise itself lasts two hours. We mostly looked out the window because it was very cold outside, and everything was visible (we looked at the route in advance and sat by the left window so we could see everything). Snacks included a fruit plate, cookies, and drinks (tea, coffee, soda). We met the staff; they sat with us at the table for half the journey and chatted very friendly with my husband. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience on this tour.

The onboard staff were helpful and attentive, the dancers were very talented and engaging, and the views were breathtaking. The food was average.
