Gus is a fantastic driving guide. He showed us all the sights in Rio, and gave information in a concise and interesting way and in English that we as Norwegians could understand. The favela tour was so much more than I expected it to be. This was a remarkable experience. Our guide was truly an outstanding person who gave us a very respectful and intelligent insight into the community and life in the favela. It was an emotional trip and one I’ll never forget. Such inspiring people living in trying circumstances showed me the human spirit and love of family and neighbour is alive in these wonderful communities. Taking care of the children and keeping families intact and safe is key. A profound experience I would recommend to everyone.
