Reviews: Reykjavík: Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike & Ice Climbing Intro
Guest User2026-02-25
Best day ever! We had a great driver of our minibus ( it had the comfiest seats) he informed us of lots of history of Iceland during the journey. We stopped at two waterfalls on route to the glacier. When we arrived at the glacier we had ‘Michele’ as our guide, who showed us safety and explained what we would be doing. We wasn’t rushed and had lots of time to take photos and look at the scenery. He made the climb very safe and enjoyable. It was our favourite day of our holiday and would definitely book this again next time we come to Iceland.

Our guide Kaman takes safety precautions very seriously, so we felt that we were in very good hands. His narratives were very interesting and we learned a lot. As the glacier hike can be tricky, it’s important to have full trust in your guide, which we did with him. Note to prospective customers: you need to have full mobility and physical fitness for this excursion, and be dressed appropriately. Children under 10 are not accepted.
Reviews: Reykjavik: Roundtrip Bus Transfer to the Blue Lagoon

bus station at Reykjavik is easy to work out where you're going and the staff in there pointed us in the right direction when we asked. The coach was very comfortable, left on time, got us to our destination on time. the collection from the blue lagoon is really easy, walk out into the main car park and queue up! got on the bus really quickly to get back to Reykjavik ... perfect!
Reviews: Skaftafell: Small-Group Vatnajökull Glacier Hike (Moderate)

We saw a lot, and our guide explained the various glacial phenomena very well. Everything was perfectly organized. Our group consisted of only three participants, and since everyone was still keen and the weather was wonderful, our guide suggested hiking for another hour to gain more altitude. Highly recommended!
