Reviews: Reykjavik: Katla Ice Cave & South Coast Tour
Guest User2026-02-10
The entire tour is worth it, but the journey to the glacier and the hike on the glacier will definitely be unforgettable. The scenery is stunning, and our glacier guide was welcoming and very generous in sharing his stories and information. It's an easy hike, even for beginners; just follow the guide's directions. The cost is absolutely justified, both by the guide's professionalism and the vehicle used to reach the glacier. We were two adults and a 9-year-old child; no problems, in fact, it's absolutely recommended for families! The stop at the black beach was brief but beautiful! The rest of the tour focused on the waterfalls, passing through stunning landscapes.
Reviews: Reykjavík: Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike & Ice Climbing Intro

o.m.g. sooo much fun & learned so much! Outfitting was easy, & i have stupid feet so Monica made sure I was as comfortable as possible for the hiking & climbing. The pace of the hike & instruction for climbing the ice was very good. And the actual opportunities to climb the ice were wonderful! Monica's belay & her patience were both outstanding. She gave great tips as I climbed the wall the first time. The hiking & the beauty of the blue ice & immensity of the glacier is breathtaking. For readers of this review, I am a 67 year old woman in fair but not great shape, with a decided sense of adventure. This activity was very accessible to me & to everyone. Do not be afraid to try it!

The trip went smoothly and the driver were explaining the sightseeing through the trip. Coming back to the city we're left close to the hotel which we appreciated very much
Reviews: Reykjavík: Langjökull Glacier Snowmobile Tour with Ice Cave
Guest User2026-02-08
The tour was amazing! We got really lucky with the weather and the astonishing view up on the glaciers. The snowmobile ride is fun but to be honest I expected a bit more exploring with it. The ice cave is pretty but not really that shiny vivid blue showing on the picture. Overall it’s still an amazing (perhaps once in a lifetime) experience but you should know that 80% of the trip is transportation, getting geared up and instructed. Only the rest 20% covers the fun part.
Reviews: Iceland South Coast 1-day tour: Waterfalls, Glaciers, and Black Sand Beaches|Optional small group tour or sky hot spring

The tour guide plans the itinerary according to the weather. When it looked like it would rain, he told us to go to other attractions first, and the waterfall would be last, so we only got a little rain (the original itinerary would have left us soaked until the end). Along the way, the guide told us stories about Iceland, introduced the attractions, and reminded us of important things to note – he was incredibly kind! It was a wonderful experience! (I chose the English version!)
