Our guide Ganesh provided a wonderfully paced trek through tea plantation fields and up onto the ridge overlooking the Munnar valley and Lakshmi Estates fields. Stunning views every step of the way. Ganesh’s playful talk was punctuated by informative details about the history of the area and the harvesting of the tea. Highly recommend the trek.

We took amazing adventures tours cab, we visited some view points, mattepettu dam, I would say it is must visit, do not miss the speed boat ride, amazing view which we can’t cover otherwise. Big big No to any spice garden, you can visit but don’t buy from them as they will charge more from customers and give 30 percent cut to the driver. Elephant ride, your cab driver gets cut.

We had a fantastic jeep safari with our wonderful guide and driver - Satheesh. He was kind to stop whenever we wanted to take photos or look around. Pleasant walk down through the tea plantations to a waterfall. Roger caves were okay but a bit busy. Enjoyed the forest walk to them. A tasty lunch at a smart hotel. The real highlight was seeing a heard of elephants in the early evening at the river. Had to wait 3.5 hours to see them but it was worth it.

This was a wonderful hike. The guide, Samy, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about his home area. We walked through his village near the end of the excursion. Samy explained the uses of the parts of the tea plant. There was a lot more to see. Plenty of evidence of wild animals - porcupines, elephants, bison (guar). We saw deer and a sambar. He also showed many herbs and fruits: tea tree, lemon grass, mint, passion fruit, orange, lemon, coffee, pepper. All in all, it was a highly enjoyable and very informative day.


