Can’t thank King Raja enough for guiding us on this trek. He’s deeply knowledgeable about the botany of the area, both wild and domesticated. This trek was the highlight of my time in Munnar.

We took amazing adventures tours cab, we visited some view points, mattepettu dam, I would say it is must visit, do not miss the speed boat ride, amazing view which we can’t cover otherwise. Big big No to any spice garden, you can visit but don’t buy from them as they will charge more from customers and give 30 percent cut to the driver. Elephant ride, your cab driver gets cut.

I went on this trip with two other people and had a great experience with our driver/guide Ganesh! He met us early at the meeting point in Moolakadai and was very friendly and came prepared (had water for each of us and even a first aid kit when my friend got a scrape) He had a lot of knowledge about the plants and animals in the area, and could tell us a lot about the history of the Munnar area and its reliance on the tea industry. He navigated the narrow mountain roads expertly and stopped wherever and whenever we needed for photos. He also handled the entrance fees, which was really convenient, and we were given free rein on the amount of time we wanted to stay at each location. None of us went swimming in the waterfalls as it was quite busy when we went, but it was still nice to enjoy the view. Our stop at Tiger Cave in particular was a fun, short trek but definitely required grippy shoes and an able body to navigate. Our food was buffet style and provided by Misty Gardens Resort. We didn’t end up seeing elephants, but it was still a fun trip and we got to buy some food and drink on the stands along the elephant village. As a side note, it would be best to camp out a spot to sit on the concrete barrier and not in the grassy area. Later in the day when elephants could show up/ might be wandering nearby, local authorities will clear the immediate area around the water so that no humans get too close to the wildlife, and everyone waiting on the grass was instructed to move to the area behind the concrete barrier/net. All in all we were out from 1030 AM and back in our hotel by around 920 PM. Thanks for the trip!
Reviews: Munnar Tea Plantation Walk with Sunset View (By Munnar Info)

The sunset walk was absolutely beautiful with lots of opportunities for incredible photos. Our guides Raneeah & Samy were very friendly and informative about the tea. They were very willing to take our pictures and would recommend good spots. They also pointed out elephant tracks and porcupine needles. It wasn't too difficult of a walk, but you should definitely wear good shoes and be relatively fit and able.
