We had a wonderful trip on a cozy boat. The tour took us into Bai Tu Long Bay, which is very peaceful and not yet overrun by tourists. We were able to fully enjoy the stunning landscape and the tranquility. Our guide, Mr. Lucas, was extremely friendly and helpful and provided us with lots of interesting information. The entire crew on board was excellent. In addition, we enjoyed an outstanding lunch on board. We would highly recommend this excursion to anyone who wants to experience the beauty of nature away from mass tourism.

Overall, the itinerary was good. The only slight disappointment was that our group wasn't given the option to kayak; we were just given a boat tour instead. Some members of our group booked through local travel agencies at the last minute, and the platform price was 50% more expensive than booking directly locally. They felt the current price was really not worth it.

This tour is definitely going to be a highlight of my Vietnam trip. Huyen/Jenny was really wonderful, and I learned so much more about Vietnamese life and culture than I would have if I had explored the city on my own. It's so much better than a group tour because you can change up the itinerary if you want, stop and rest as needed, or spend longer at sites of interest because you're not on a strict schedule. Make sure you tip your guide well - they work hard and deserve it!

I only took the afternoon trip. The tour guide Lucas was very helpful and nice. His English was good. The tour guide picked us up in the old town. It took an hour to the incense stick village. Where you can take some really nice pictures, learn some knowledge about the history of incense stick and the meaning of them. Then we took an 30 min ride to a village of Vietnam hat. We learnt the process of making Vietnam hats and we could draw our own Vietnam hats for free. After the whole trip, the tour guide took us back to our hotel.


