Reviews: PRIVATE Mindo Cloud Forest tour

Our guide for the day was Christian. He was AWESOME! He provided us with so much information about their history, volcanoes, cultures, etc. The zip lining was way more than expected. There were 10 lines and they were so accommodating when I was slow climbing to the next one. The chocolate tour is a must as well. You get to experience so many things from preparing to tasting and even a chocolate mask! And of course the butterfly and hummingbird farms put such a smile on my face. Getting to have them land on you and see them up close was unbelievable. Everyone should try and do this tour and hope you get Christian as your guide!
Reviews: Discover Quito; Old town, Middle of the world + Cable car PRIVATE

There were many memorable things we saw and experienced. Our tour guide, Daniel, is excellent. He modified our itinerary based on what we wanted to see, adding in stops in old town for a visit to a large produce and flower market, and allowed us to spend time with a basket and lamp vendor, we ended up buying some great lamps to bring home. Most memorable of the day probably was the trip to the middle of the Earth, we were blown away by what we saw and learned. The culture and people were also memorable.

We loved our guide Diana and our driver Marcelo was excellent. For our first full day in Quito, we booked this Ecuador’s Best Tour of the city. We live at sea level in Seattle and wanted to take it easy due to Quito’s high elevation. We were also concerned about safety in an unfamiliar city after a couple of days of exhausting travel. So we appreciated the guide and driver very much. We enjoyed every stop on our tour. Diana walked with us every step of the way, patiently answered all of our questions and helped us understand the culture of Ecuador. Later, after we got back from the Galapagos, we learned that some of the group members had gone exploring on their own and were robbed of expensive items in Old Quito, so I was especially appreciative of the excellent guidance of Diana and Marcelo. I never felt unsafe, and Quito has a better police presence than Seattle, including touristic police, but as a stranger in a new city, we can be at a disadvantage on our own, even though we use money belts and phone lanyards when traveling.
Reviews: Full-Day Mindo Cloud Forest Tour Birdwatching Waterfalls and Hike

A full day tour to Mindo rainforest with Pato from ‘Ecuador a color’. A fabulous day in all respects. Who would’ve thought that in one day we could’ve fed hummingbirds out of our hand, walked in the rainforest to a beautiful waterfall, seen the lovely Mindo volcanic crater, seen how chocolate is made and viewed hundreds of different orchids. A superb and knowledgeable guide, a lovely guy with an excellent car. Strongly recommend recommended.

We had an unforgettable day trip to Mindo. Luiz, our driver, picked us up promptly from our Airbnb in Quito, and in the evening, he offered an extra service by driving us and our luggage to our next accommodation. The route from Quito to Mindo takes you through various microclimates. Our guide provided us with fascinating information about them along the way. In Mindo, we visited a bird sanctuary where numerous hummingbirds can be observed in their natural habitat – simply beautiful! Afterwards, we went to an adventure park where you can "fly" over the rainforest on various zip lines. The day was rounded off with a visit to a cacao plantation, where we learned a great deal about the production of cacao and chocolate. An eventful day that we will fondly remember.
