This was an interesting geothermal area and it was especially interesting to see the vegetated section and the hot waterfall! The guide was excellent and we learned a great deal about the vegetation, as well as the properties of the various pools - even got to feel the mud!★

We wanted as close to an authentic Māori experience as possible, and were absolutely amazed and touched by how much the Te Pa Tu family demonstrated their pride in their culture. We enjoyed learning and participating in different activities as well as feeling the emotions behind their songs and hakas. The dinner was exceptional and the ending appreciation songs for all countries represented at the tour, took it over the top! A highlight of our NZ trip never to be forgotten!
