Such a great trip! Grant (or Grant but in a kiwi accent) was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the culture and history during the long van rides. Glowworm caves were cool but the highlight for me was definitely the geysers. The whole experience was great and am so grateful that they offer a trip like this including transport since Rotorua is quite a distance away.
Note: this experience did not include a Māori performance or haka. If I read the description better I wouldve known that but that is the only thing I was a little bummed about. The experience is great, but just note what is actually included if thats what you are looking for.★

This was an amazing tour, Adil was very friendly and gave excellent advice. Be sure to research the weather for Hobbiton as it is a fully outdoor tour. Be prepared for a long day! Totally worth it!★

Both caves were cool for their uniqueness, but the Waitomo Caves were remarkable for the dazzling display along the indoor boat ride! The Mauri community preserves this site very well and makes it special. Our driver Marty was a definite impediment though. His accent was so heavy, most of us on the bus struggled to understand what he was saying! His driving was frightening at times. I am not sure he's a good fit for accomodating tourists as he isn't terribly friendly or hospitable as he was insistent on only going to places that would serve him a free meal or drink as a tour guide. This activity may be better if booked with a different agency in all honesty.★

Excellent trout organization and very friendly staff. While it was a pity that the Waitomo Cave tour was canceled due to bad weather and flooding, the Hobbiton village experience was amazing.
