Reviews: Half-Day Private Rome Tour Civitavecchia Port to Airport

Mario was our driver. He was very friendly and accommodating. We had a very nice Mercedes van for my family of five. He picked us up at port, and it took about an hour to get into the city of Rome. Mario said we had three hours for the tour. We visited in order Saint Peters Square, Piazza Navona, Altare della Patria, the colosseum, spanish steps, and although out of time Mario, let us squeeze in the Trevi fountain for some quick pictures. Mario would drop us off at the location, take some family pictures, then, told us to look around, have some fun then meet him back to go to the next stop. It was very fast pace. Traffic can be crazy in Rome. But the tour was great. We got to see most everything except the Pantheon.

Gionna (“Big Momma”) was an absolutely wonderful tour guide! Despite a very cold January morning, she made thoughtful adjustments to keep us comfortable while still showing us, and teaching us, so much about Rome’s main attractions. The tour was filled with fascinating facts, charming stories, and wonderful hidden gems we never would have discovered on our own. Big Momma’s energy, knowledge, and warmth made the entire experience memorable. It was a fantastic morning, and as both a tourist and a travel advisor I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome.

Everything is great, they meet you at the appointed time at your address, give you instructions, take you without waiting in line, and then you can walk around on your own.
