Reviews: Amsterdam: Cozy Cheese & Wine Cruise Tasting Experience

Great experience and I learned a lot from our guide. Very well informed about the history and culture of Amsterdam and couldn’t have been a nicer guy. Only 2 of on this tour so got a very personalized tour. Really appreciated the tour and guide and would recommend to anyone looking to learn more about Amsterdam and the Netherlands more generally

Left the tour with full bellies, lots of knowledge and a new friend in Gerard! The tour was wonderful! Gerard was very knowledgeable, funny, and welcoming. The food was great, even our five year old loved it. Bitterballen are a new favorite food! Thanks for a wonderful first day in Amsterdam!
Reviews: Netherlands Giethoorn 1-day tour [Small group of 8 people/Chinese/English options + cruise experience]
Guest User2025-06-21
When I first started planning my trip, I read some posts from other travelers and thought I could go on my own. However, when I checked public transportation in Giethoorn, I realized it wasn't practical, as it would take up most of the day to travel. So, I booked a day tour instead, which was honestly a bit pricey. However, the tour and experience were fantastic. The bus driver explained Dutch history and geography along the way to Giethoorn, and also introduced the main attractions and buildings we saw. It was definitely worth booking the tour (by the way, sit on the right side of the bus, as most of the attractions mentioned are on the right). Giethoorn is definitely worth a visit; the houses and water of the entire village create a unique, beautiful, and tranquil scene.
Reviews: Day Tour Zaanse Schans, Lego Village and Giethoorn Incl. Hotel Pick Up

It was a perfect trip. Our guide, Deng, was incredibly professional, providing explanations of everything from the sights to the local customs and culture of the Netherlands, making the trip truly worthwhile. My personal suggestion is that you definitely need a talkative person in the front passenger seat; the more you talk, the better Deng will perform.

I originally booked a Chinese-language tour, but there weren't any available that day, so I switched to an English-language tour. Everyone else in the group was a foreigner. Our guide and driver, Reinier, was a young Chinese man who spoke fluent Chinese and would sometimes speak to me separately in Chinese. Overall, it was a great trip. The guide was thoughtful, providing water, umbrellas, chargers, etc., and didn't rush me. His explanations were excellent. The scenery was stunning. Apparently, it's the off-season now, so there were fewer people, but still quite a few. A very worthwhile day trip.
