This Pompeii tour gave an overview of life in Pompeii. Our guide did a nice job of escorting us on a walking tour through Pompeii, teaching us the history of the area and learning about how the people who lived in the time of Pompeii conducted their lives. It's a short tour at 1.5 ish hours. While we saw some of the more significant sites within Pompeii, I had been there 20+ years ago and knew that there were a number of things that we didn't see (perhaps because they were further away and would require more walking than the <2 hour tour would permit us to see?) such as the Garden of Fugitives, the brothel (which our guide had mentioned to us but didn't take us to see), and the House of the Vettii which has some interesting decorative frescoes on the walls. So plan on spending extra time after the tour to visit these (and potentially other) additional sites while you're in Pompeii.β

We had Italo. He was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and personable. We did 2 tours with Raphael tours. Due to weather issues we had to switch the days for Pompei and Capri. Raphael tours took care of everything. Very Accommodating. Highly recommend Raphael tours for both toursβ
