This guided tour was the highlight of our time in Crete. The information that Henry shared with my husband & I was mind-blowing! THE most entertaining & informational tour we had the entire time in Greece, including the Acropolis in Athens. We would definitely do this tour again. Simply the best. The highlight of our trip. Akrivi is an ideal guide and makes everyone feel she speaks to them. I studied classics at university, and I still found I learnt new things; my friend knew very little about the subject but also felt it was perfectly pitched for her. It's not a private tour that you can book just for your own family, but the groups are still so small that it feels like it is and everyone gets their questions answered in detail. (She had sophisticated answers to everything we threw at her!) We were really impressed by her fluency, both in the English language and just in her natural speaking style. She must give this tour several times a week, and yet we still felt like the jokes and key lines were being delivered fresh, for the very first time, just for us.

We were in a very small group and our lovely guide Eva made it feel like a friend is taking us on a tour around their city and the places she loves. It was fantastic! She told us a lot about the history, customs and of course food of Heraklion and Crete. The food and drinks we tasted on this tour were delicious and the places we visited had their own history and traditions that made everything even more interesting. This experience is great value for money and we would recommend it to anyone who loves food and learning about the culture of the place they visit.

This is a wonderful tour. George our driver was very professional and Sophia our tour guide was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable. There is no way we would have learned as much on our own at these sites. The only caution is make sure you understand the port you are traveling into for how long the tour will be. We docked in Chania so it was a two hour drive to get to the other side of the island. That was my oversight. If you dock in Heraklion, you are 10 minutes away. A tour worth taking
