This walk is an absolute must for first time visitors to Lyon. In fact we joined one walk on Tuesday & then a different one on Thursday. Paul is from the Netherlands & has lived in Lyon for 12 years. He is passionate about the town & its history & at the end of our 2 hours we felt much more connected to its stories, especially those of the Resistance fighters, about whom we knew nothing. Paul is also very generous with advice about restaurants & things to do. We thought both his tours were great.★

Look no further for a fantastic tour, full of education, food, sips & authentic atmosphere w/Natalie (if you are lucky enough to get her!). Natalie truly captures the best of Lyon into this tour. I have been on several food/walking tours in my EU travels and hers was hands-down my favorite. She knows an extensive history of Michelin star chefs and engaged with other tour members who brought their own knowledge to the discussions. I can’t believe how much I learned! I’m still trying to absorb everything; even along the walk, we stopped at historical points that I never would have known existed or the significance. We met lovely shop owners and learned about their products before sitting down to wonderfully prepared tables at the stops. It felt incredibly special and so relaxing (as I am the trip planner usually in my family). I loved being in Natalie’s organized hands! After the tour, Natalie followed up with priceless tips in a text to make sure we had her recommendations for other d★

Our guide, Dadak, was very knowledgeable about the history and the places to see in the historic Old Town of Lyon. Roman ruins, beautiful churches, and on and on. A private tour for just my wife and I—not something large! Definitely the way to go!
